Nice observation Ashlyn. There's no way in Hell Serrett would be at SS if Sanders had gone to LSU. But if Sanders would have and was playing SS it would just be more proof that Beth ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer. I'm really surprised 357 made that comment.

love the softball girls, but trips like these are what cause the program to lose massive amounts of money. At least 50k for this trip, probably more.

Oh look. It’s that guy.

I think people read my comment on 2B the wrong way. My comment wasn't directed at Serrett, she's a very good player. Sure she can be jekyll and hyde at times but she does a lot of great stuff for us offensively and defensively and definitely is one of our best players.

I said Sanders if she had transferred here, would play 2B, because it was wide open, no doubt her best attribute is her bat. Serrett is a more natural short stop with a way better arm. You would just slide Sanders in at 2B and there is another all american hitter in your lineup. I am not sure why that is complicated.

Yep because any disagreement or calling out the obvious is trolling. So you are right, here we go again with the pumpers.

Why are LSU softball fans so defensive? Debate my point and tell me where I am wrong instead of calling me names.

The point Bait was making is one I completely agree with. Anyone that knows this staff understands that certain players are going to play regardless of production and even the arrival of a 1st team all American probably wouldn't change it. This is unfortunately true.

I (and most of the fan base that is not on the pumper side) is frustrated with this type of thing and sees it as a real flaw in the way the program is run. We have great pitching and it continues to hide some of these flaws. That great pitching is about gone and then I believe these things will be magnified. I hope I am wrong.

Its okay to disagree.

There is no way Beth would move Serrett from Shortstop..that's a done deal. She has all the faith in the world in Amber and she is not going to move her. I like Amber at shortstop, too.

If Sanders had transferred to LSU, Beth would find a way to start her, but she would not be playing shortstop.

Sanchez looks like the kind of player that would gladly move back to second and be happy about it, if Beth thought putting Sanders at third would be best. Sanchez doesnt come across as a spoiled brat at all. Good attitude.

As for defensive comparison between Sanders and Serret, I'd defer to someone else who has seen Sanders a good bit, because i have not. I do think Serret is a good shortstop, though i know that's not the question here.

As ridiculous as this sounds to anybody that follows and understands big time softball, this is true. A 2017 first team all-american SS that transfers to Oregon and is starting at SS for the Ducks probably wouldn't be given the opportunity to start at SS for LSU.

You can hang it up Ashlyn. The vast majority of the posters on here are clueless as to the context of your post. So what if Sanders fielding percentage was higher and she had fewer errors. She is not as good as Serrett and never will be because Beth is the greatest coach ever. You do know that she has been to 3 straight WCWS don't you? Never mind that she inherited 2 AA pitchers in Fico and Mack when she got here and that Hoover fell into her lap. Never mind that her teams have always hit like crap and that pitching is what carried them to all of those WCWS appearances. You don't know what you are talking about. Sanders can only hit Sun Belt pitching. She couldn't hit SEC pitching like Serrett can. Now sit down and shut up because you don't know anything about softball. LSU will be great in 6 years when all of those middle schoolers get here. You will see.

There's some intentional stupidity going on. Nobody said Sanders wouldn't play, it was that she might not play SS. She was never here so I'm not sure why there's a bitch fest about her not playing a select position anyway.
