It was the dumbest shite I’ve seen in a long time. Brosette and the team took the risk 3 times with NO payoff. Why? Why no victory formation? I felt like I was taking crazy pills.

I had no issue with Brosette scoring on the initial run. LSU was trying to gain a first down, presumably to ice the game. The fact that Arky refused to tackle him was not LSU's fault, so he should have just taken it in.

But...once he slid and the game was over with a kneel or 2, continuing to try and slam it in was beyond ridiculous. Not only was it a chicken-shite move to try and score for the sole purpose of tacking on some more points to make the win look better, but NOT scoring after trying twice just pointed out how shitty the offense was all night.

I realize no one will buy this, but as much as I dislike the guy and think this whole experiment will ultimately fail with no hardware to show for it, I have actually been hoping Orgeron changes my mind about him this season. I'm open to it...but he needs to actually earn that change. Instead, that FG attempt against BAMA so as not to get blanked while showing his team and fans we'd stopped trying to win, and this bush league move of trying to run up the score in the closing seconds of a game so the score would appear better make it VERY VERY hard for that to ever happen.

We’ll likely fall in the CFP polls now bc of an unimpressive 1 score win against a 2-7 team, when it could have been 31-17 not really seems close type game
but thankfully, the committee doesn't just look at the final score, like the silly pollsters do.

The committee has all kinds of metrics to analyze games, and there's a "game control" metric (I don't know the details) that the committee uses to see how a team played, regardless of the final score.

So the committee digs deeper than just the final score.

Well besides the gambling angle, it was dumb to do what Brossette did. In that situation, you go for the score and the points.

I have to strongly disagree. You secure the victory. 0 screwed That up by not kneeling the ball twice with a minute left in the game. Arkansas had no time outs.

What if Brossette scores and LSU has to kick off. And then Arkansas makes an fast touchdown and then recovers the onside kick and scores again?

Chances of that are slim but so is fumbling the snap to take a knee.

I thought it was a very heady decision. I’ve seen LSU teams with a 2 TD lead turn right back around and give up a TD on a kickoff returned for a TD and then have to sweat out an onside kick!
Get the 100% sure win and GTFO there. A garbage time TD means nothing and was a classy move to boot (no pun). A road SEC win, however cosmetically unappealing, is never a bad thing. Too much crazy shite happening in college football to give the ball back to an opponent who with 2 plays can still alter the outcome.
