All of them? Suggesting all "white people" are the same is as stupid as suggesting all "black people" are the same. It's patently false and a disservice to decent people everywhere.

Shhhh. Don't ruin his worldview. He may need a safe place.

Sweet Jesus. I'm sorry for whatever has happened to you in your life that has lead to this line of thinking. Truly. And that's not just my white guilt speaking either.

I'm just as lucid as I need to be. It's been the Southern white man's mantra that Blacks should stop complaining and just work hard and do for self; but when they develop their own, it's discounted and delegitimized by the same white men who said do it. It would be tragic if it weren't so funny.

It's all illegitimate if it doesn't produce a National Champ, according to you. You must be miserable, because LSU hasn't won a Championship in over a decade. All those Bowl wins and losses must have you depressed. Yet another pathology you must get fixed.

You discounted what the HBCU's have, so you show that it bothers you in some way. Why criticize? If it weren't for CFB manipulation, all those four and five star players would probably be at HBCU's, and you would still criticize the institutions, the players, coaches and their brand of football. It seems as though it's part of your pathology to do so. I understand.

Painting with a pretty broad brush their, friend.

You're either dumb, or you're being willfully ignorant. Go back and read what I posted. See if you can comprehend it this time around.

And yours appears to be a transference of blame and responsibility to "white folks".

To be honest, I couldn't care less about HBCUs and what they do. But it has been a lot of fun yanking your chain.

I'm not sure insulting another university which has proud alumni as well supports any argument you are trying to make.

Yet when the Tiger Band plays it, it sounds like actual music, as opposed to sounding like a bunch of three year olds pretending an old wrapping paper tube is a trumpet.

I glanced at the rest of your post, and I'm certain no one cares.

What's there to think about? The HBCUs can have their own title came if they please. Would it be legit? I guess so. Would it be seen as less than a D1 title? Probably, and rightfully so. I don't think many HBCUs footballs teams could compete with the elite power 5 teams. And aren't we supposed to be all about inclusion these days? Why would we need a black only championship? Or does acceptance only work one way in your world?

Why post this BS about a band and tradition that you have no clue about? Two different bands from two different traditions, both with their own set of purposes when they make appearances. Yet, you reduce the players to the child like behavior of 3 year olds. We know what this kind of talk is, and you are busted using it while trying to hide by your acceptance remark. Why don't you practice a bit of acceptance and try to keep your mouth shut about things you don't understand or have a cursory knowledge of. Know the there are and traditionally have been players in that trumpet section that would wax the arse of any of the players in LSU's trumpet section in their sleep. Very disrespectful sentiments, and I will not allow you to hide or scream reverse racism. You sir are full of s%!*. Try another angle.

Because it was posted as a tongue in cheek remark. I didn't realize the overly sensitive social justice warriors were waiting in the wings to correct any perceived slight.

Actually "We" don't. Please explain.

I don't need to stop you, just point it out. It's effective enough to not allow to be said unchallenged. Words that serve as dog whistles for the kind of subtle racist language the Black men have allowed, offering little to no defense or rebuttal. Please, continue so the sound of your words reverborate loudly on this site.

There was no tongue in cheek remark. Your words harken back to the language used to promote the stereotype of the Black man as being childlike, no serious thinker. Typical old Southern racist language.

Out of all the left wing social just buzzwords, I think "dog whistle" may be my favorite. Thanks for enlivening my Friday.

Come on man. Me saying it in the context that I say it is not racism. I am pointing out that he is trying to use the tactic. Me doing that does not make it racism. Context is everything.

Why are you trying to throw a lifeline to a guy using the subtleties of those kinds of overtones anyway? Do you support his position? Is he your friend? Give us some context, please.

There is very little "left wing" about me. keep that on your political board, I'm about respect. You showed none then tried to hide behind some acceptance phrase. I am simply exposing your language and how it tries to reduce the accomplishments of hundreds of young black musicians and football programs to something akin to being "child like" and not legitimate. I can give a rats arse about some "left wing" moniker. You however, feel exactly what I'm saying.

Remember that where ever you go. Your language will give you away, there is no hiding from it.

In the absence of substance. I asked, and this is all you can muster? That seems about right for some reason.

frick that. SU chooses not to compete for a National Championship every year for the Bayou Classic. Doesn't matter these days but back when they were good could have been in the playoffs
