LSU should have hired Marcus Freeman instead of Brian Kelly

This comparison will happen all year and Freeman might see some success short term, but Kelly has hit the ground running and I'm so pumped for this season. Happy hump day and looking forward to seeing what the media gives us tomorrow after being allowed to see the whole practice.

Notre Dame does have the #1 recruiting class currently. Kelly is definitely the better coach, but you can’t knock that

Nah can't knock the recruiting at all. I also won't be surprised if Notre Dame updates their facilities to what Kelly wanted and what made him leave ultimately.
- Football dorms because right now the players room with the regular student body
- Nutritional facility
- Updated sports facility in general

Marcus Freeman was a trendy hire for ND. You’ll see this year that he’s nowhere near BK level.

We don’t even know if Freeman is a good head coach. Lots of great recruiters out there have been exposed as less than ideal CEO’s.

What ND fans who are pounding their chest over their class so far are overlooking is that Freeman is cashing in on the relationships that were built while Kelly was still there, they still have almost the entire coaching staff still in place AND they are getting the recruits they usually have to battle Michigan for since Harbaugh fricked up right at signing day thinking he was getting an NFL job then having to scramble when it didn't happen, now these recruits don't believe him and going elsewhere and Michigan is sitting damn near 30th in recruiting now...

Being in the top 10 or top 5 isn’t much different especially when some of those teams take important 3 star players that fit team needs or project players who could turn out elite.

I think the HC job is too big too fast for Freeman. Fickell should have gone to ND and Freeman to Cincinnati. Freeman could have learned on a smaller scale to make him viable for a big job later. It'd be great if LSU and ND would match in a new year's 6 bowl.

Notre Dame has the #1 recruiting class for now and that’s because their alumni are so butt hurt about Kelly that they are opening their pocket books big time. Every Notre Dame Facebook group post about Kelly all day long 24/7 it’s comical how butt hurt they are. Kelly left that program in the best position it’s been in for a long long time and now that NIL is legal they have the alumni to have some great recruiting classes. We shall see but I think Freeman may be over his head and Notre Dame is a pressure job especially adding to the fact they have this hatred for Kelly now so if he isn’t more successful than LSU then they are going to lose their minds
