Lets not even lump Ricky in with Jordan. Ricky was a solid contributor to some good defenses.

I agree He was . I was just stating he's his own person and shouldn't be compared to his brothers at all.

I don't get the hate for either brother. Rickey was a good player and Jordan helped LSU to arguably the best regular season in college football history. It's not his fault the coaches came in with the same game plan from the previous game. The coaches basically gave Bama the playbook.

Myles Brennan is clear cut #2. Kid looked like Tom Brady today

Is he that much better that he can pass up Etling by the BYU game? For those who have actually seen him throw?

Are you sure the O-line is looking great?

Glen Logan: 4 tackles, 1 sack, 2 TFL, FF

Does this not surprise anyone else?

Why would it? Dude was highly rated last year and Orgeron loved him. No surprise he may have had a nice day against the 2s.

Let's be honest--that was happening regardless.

Hopefully Etling doesn't have pictures of O fricking a goat like JJ had on Miles.

Does not compute. This is LSU OL every year. Grimes has to hire a passblock guru GA or something. frick.

Need to factor in that Etling worked against first string whereas Brennan mostly worked against second string. Still, it makes things interesting.

I thought that I read Coach O saying they both played with the ones.

Possibly but the secondary is deep and factor in Myles is a true freshman and Etling is a senior

Our DL is deeper than our OL, also. And what LB's were the 2's? Because we've got some very talented young guys there. Basically, our entire 2 deep defense is elite talent. Our offense has a ton of talent, but I'd say it's a step or two behind the D, mainly due to the OL.

Exactly

It's impressive for Brennan to still have better stats and disappointing Etling couldn't throw a TD

Brennan did run some with the ones per Orgeron. In fact, those stats released could be those only run with the ones. It was supposed to be a 100-play scrimmage with apparently 29 pass attempts including the 3 sacks and 38 rush attempts. Notice how there were no stats were provided for any other QB.

According to NOLA.com, O said majority of Brennan's snaps were with the 2's.
quote:

Freshman Myles Brennan and senior Danny Etling took most of the snaps at quarterback and Orgeron said Brennan mostly took second-team reps but got some snaps with the first team.
