The Southeastern Conference has announced its television schedule for football games of Saturday, Oct. 18. CBS Sports will televise the Ole Miss at Alabama game at 3:30 p.m. ET.

CBS has allowed ESPN to use one of its three six-day selections for the ESPN game of Oct. 18. The games being held in the six-day selection process for ESPN and Raycom are Vanderbilt at Georgia and LSU at South Carolina. ESPN will select one of these two games for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff with the other game being televised by Raycom at 12:30 p.m. ET. ESPN's decision will likely come on Sunday.

ESPNU will televise the Arkansas at Kentucky game starting at 7 p.m. ET.

You do your part in Gainsville, we'll do ours in Lexington and we'll see you at 3:30 in Columbia.

This sucks!

I hate road trips with an early kickoff. If its a 12:30 eastern start, we need to start tailgating at 12:30am.

CBS has already decided they will carry Ole Miss/Bama at 2:30 CT. Now ESPN will choose which game they will televise in the evening, the game not chosen will be carried by the affiliates at 11:30 Central.

I think at this point it's either 12:30 or 8:00.

ESPN is clearly waiting to see if Vandy and UGa both win. If both win this weekend, ESPN will definitely pick that game and LSU gets 11:30, whether we beat UF or not. Vandy and UGa will both be around top 10 and ESPN isn't passing that up.

Basically:
LSU loss to UF = 11:30 LSU/USC game
Vandy and UGA & LSU win= 11:30 LSU/USC game
Vandy or UGA loss & LSU win = likely ESPN game for LSU/USC
Vandy or UGa loss & USC loss = who knows

With Vandy and UGa both favored this week, its looking like a 11:30 game for LSU next week

What the hell are you thinking? No right minded man in the South gets married during football season except maybe on an Open Date.

Vandy gets cromed this weekend, therefore we control our own destiny. One must ask, is it to our teams advantage to play on the road at 1130am or 8pm ?

I think avoided the early start is important for LSU. Those early games are dangerous for favored teams. This game is already somewhat of a trap game and then you put LSU in that game sleepwalking and it could be a big problem.

Even that is not safe. See Troy.

If your fiance' insists on a fall wedding, cut your losses and release her back to the dating pool....

I hope it is an 11:30 AM game.

That would undermine SC's home field advantage.

Not even an Open date. Your anniversary will screw up future home games and road trips. Fall weddings = BAD IDEA!
