quote:In a normal world, this would be true, but in a 24 team playoff scenario next year, the SEC championship game goes away, and is a non-factor going forward about any decision making anyway. History and precedent are not going to mean anything, because SECCG is going to become a relic of the past.
There would be zero purpose in playing a CC game, if losing it would remove you from the playoffs.

If lsu beats Texas and Alabama, and tenn....they are in....even if they lose in the champ game. They would have played likely 3 to 4 top 10 teams and would have won 3 of them. No way they dont get in. None.

frick that shite. Let Georgia play Ole Miss or Kentucky while at 10-2, we sit at home and rest. And then let the SECCG go to 15 overtime’s. I could care less about that game. It’s about staying at 2 losses and getting a top 8 seed.

Would rather win out and miss it. Nothing to gain anymore

Watching Stanky Sankey hand off the trophy to Lane, Landry, Ausberry, and Rousse is going to be hilarious.

we need the week of rest before playoffs if we run table. f that SECCG game now. they can have it. means jack shite anymore.
If you win the SECCG, you’d get a week of rest anyway during the bye.
Only hurts you if you lose it

I just hope we beat Bama next week everything else doesn’t matter.
