This. Plus Oklahoma had Alex Grinch as DC. That dude (and Schiano) was responsible for OSU’s worst defense on record. Pretty hard to be that shitty with the talent OSU had. I have no idea why people salivate over Grinch. We couldn’t get him out of Columbus fast enough.

They have two guys who are both just as good as or better than CeeDee Lamb and he had some success against us.
if this is true, then trevor is not as good as you think. the stats are simply not there. i think those guys are very talented, but the statistics do not support this statement. I believe that these guys have the potential, but they are not there as a complete offense.

Plus Lawrence is miles ahead of Hurts.
that goes without saying. everytime hurts had time in the pocket, but nowhere to run, i said, "this is a win". hurts was never going to win the game for them throwing the ball.

Venables will have their defense ready.
this is what has me thinking. clemson showed bama something they had not seen much of last year. and they did it at a high level. clemson has a very good coaching staff. period. however, there is not a defense in the ncaa that is going to stop this offense.

Lawrence played against one of the best defenses in CFB (quite possibly the best)
Ohio State gave up more points in their last 5 games, when they actually started playing teams with a pulse, than LSU did. There were 3+ defenses in the SEC that were functionally better than them. The dumbasses who bought into the media OSU “complete team” hype train are the most gullible morons on this site.
Also, Lawrence went 18/33 against OSU. He hardly set the world on fire and they only put up 29 points. Not good enough to beat LSU

Hmmm... Maybe you should go find the Clemson board buddy. It sure seems like you loving them a little to much. I am guessing LSU should not even show up in your mind huh

I thought LSU would win but I went back and looked just to make sure I was right about Clemson....Ladies and gentleman Clemson is not that good. Besides the win against OSU they havent been all year. They have played far inferior opponents and didnt set the world on fire against them.
Against teams that determined to stop the run which included quarterback runs Lawrence had to pass more. Statistically he was not great. He threw interceptions and alot of "lob" balls. He can not do that against LSU. You sell out to stop the run and play man to man on the backend and it is a long day for Clemson. Also there receiving corps is not very deep.
Defensively is where everyone I see on here and hear on ESPN talking them up. Go back and look at some of their previous game from THIS YEAR. Not last year. This is key. This is not the same team. There front 4 does not get pressure. They blitz to disguise this. This is where we have seen in the past that this plays into our hands. Only Auburn could only come close to stopping us with only rushing three or four. Clemson can not do that. They do not have the play makers. And I read on here where someone said how good their linebackers were. Did yall watch the OSU game. They arent very fast. Good luck keeping up with our athletes. If you noticed alot of OSU passes were to skill players that stopped and caught the ball. Throws to certain spots. How many times a game does that happen for us. Most of our passed are in stride to players. There is one player on their defense that I think is legit and that is their free safety but again that is one player. He can not stop 4 and 5 threats. We will take advantage of that all game by throwing away from him.
This will be a blow out ladies and gents. I am looking for 20+ win and possibly Brennen getting in the game in the 4th quarter. Sorry for the long post I just got tired of answering individual post with my own beliefs. Thank you..
They have way more dudes on D than OU. They are probably a little more balanced on offense. But personally, I think it's a draw at the WR/DB positions which will put all the emphasis on stopping the run.
Which I honestly think Aranda can do.
I think it will be a much more evenly matched game on the other side of the ball. Venables can scheme it up and is good at creating pressure packages that not only generate base pass rush without the extra defender, but also finds neat ways to take away your favorite hot checks in the process.
But at the end of the day, I think this team is battle-tested and hitting on all cylinders. The intangibles also provide us a heavy advantage IMO.
Lastly, I think Dabo has created a culture of winning through inferiority at Clemson. He loves it when he can find a way to exploit that Clemson isn't getting their due.
You can't build a program or culture around that. Not long term. As Saban said on the HBO Documentary, "You climb the mountain enough times...you become the mountain."
I don't think Dabo knows what its like to be the mountain yet because of that culture of inferiority. But we are gonna topple it for sure.

“Ok man” he didn’t have 360 yards and 3 TD’s. He had 260 with 2 TD’s and a rushing touchdown, which is a massive difference.
Not sure why some of you feel compelled to dickride our opposing teams so hard and cherry pick, but it’s very annoying. You would’ve said the same exact thing to me a week ago about Jalen Hurts if I’d told you wouldn’t do shite against LSU. It’s just a perpetual desperate dickride on whoever we’re playing next

Yep exactly. But like I said... some people believe everything ESPN forces down their throats.
Auburn, Georgia, Florida would stop Clemson. Might not out right win the game but Clemson's offense isnt moving the ball well against them. At all.

They are better than you think and have God on their side. In all honesty, LSU should win by 2+ TDs but I wouldn’t be surprised if Dabo pulls out a miracle. I’m rooting hard for LSU but have a strange feeling about this one. Their ability to make adjustments and expose weaknesses is impressive
I don’t really understand why an OSU fan is still on our board, but they didn’t “make impressive adjustments”, your overrated coach completely shite the bed and crumpled under pressure when he hit the big stage. People have said the same thing in every one of our big games this year, and here we are 14-0. Thanks for your input though

Now go down to the rushing stats on the box score. He had 107 rushing yards with that 1 rushing TD. So he had 366 total yards and 3 total TDs.

How does that work when Burrow has no tendencies? Whatever they try to take away, we have 3 other places to go to and a QB that has shown time and again to have no issue finding that outlet.

Exactly.... the stats dont add up and they have played FARRRRR inferior opponents. You stop the run against Clemson they are a totally different team that struggles in games. Go watch the teams they didnt blow out by 30 this year and watch what they did. Lawrence is decent, not Burrow, but decent, but their offense isnt close to what LSU's is neither.

K. That isn’t what he said and it was misleading. There’s a difference between saying “360 total yards and total TD’s” and pretending that he lit Ohio State’s defense up passing when he sat at a 50% completion percentage and threw for 260 yards.
It’s cool and all if you don’t understand this, but the above passing stats bolstered by a 70 yard TD run, which was a miracle and twice as long as his longest run this year, is much different than going 26/33 with 360 yards and 3 touchdowns against Ohio State.

There is an absolute frick ton of assumptions and straw manning going on right here.
It wasn't misleading. He had 366 yards and 3 TDs on a tough OSU defense. You can't just single out his passing stats and say he didn't play well just because he threw for 50%.

Yep around a 50 percent passer all year and has thrown for more than one interception in multiple games this year. But you know typical Rant lets ride the dick of whoever we play next rather than see what is in front of us which happens to be the best team in College football history in LSU and cheer for our team lmao.

You are unhinged today man. I am far from riding Clemson's dick. I said they are better than Oklahoma which is far from a reach. I literally said I think we will win.

No he isnt making assumptions... he is saying like I said in the OP that if you stop the run and play man to man on the backend he cant beat you.... You honestly think 50% passing and 255 yards will beat LSU. Because I sure as hell dont think OSU's secondary is better than LSU's. You take out his run.... which is an outlier this year for him, double any other run he has had this year, and you stop the run, then he cant beat you. Period.
