If what he were offering was not illegal, he would have met with whomever wanted, he would declare his innocence publicly, and he'd be coaching in the game tomorrow.

My assumption is that “the whole story” Wade alluded to was the fact he was competing against other schools offering the same type of illegal benefits. He’ll argue he was just trying to recruit on a level playing field.
Now, if that’s the case ... will LSU get rid of a guy that broke the rules, but will testify that so was everyone else?
