Without looking to much into stats here are some stuff to see. Some games of significance.

Rhode Island posted a 22-8 conference record. Won the Atlantic 10 conference title.

played Oregon in a weekend series. They beat Oregon once 12-11, lost the second game 1-0 and then got drilled for 19 runs in another loss(19-12) to the Ducks. They also got drilled by U Conn 16-6. The rest of their schedule looked really weak or it seemed.

DBU 21-6 conf record , 40 win season. Lost to LSU 7-3, beat Oklahoma 11-0 and 9-1, split with TCU, lost 8-5 and won 6-5.
Beat the Cajuns in a weekend series 2-1 and won conference USA title.

Little Rock 8-16 in conference. Got swept by Nicholls in a weekend series. Beat Ole Miss back on April 15th 7-3, got swept by Arkie in a doubleheader 10-0, 4-0 and captured 5 wins straight to win their conference tourney for the automatic bid.

LSU should dominate their regional.

So DBU can hit but pitching is just OK.

i guess if you factor in their schedule. I'd like to know their hitting averages if they played in the SEC.

Doubt anyone here has inside info on Little Rock but how in the hell did they go 5-0 in their conference tournament to advance to a regional? They won 1 of their last 15 games in the regular season. Earlier in the year they got swept by Nicholls and lost to some SWAC teams. Has to be one of the weaker teams in the field outside of the SWAC and northeast

Correct about Nicholls....makes you wonder how can a team like this go on a 5 game run to win their tourney title. Teams like this knocked Teams like aTm out of the post season for example who could make noise in a regional as a no.3 seed.

What’s wild is Little Rock won their tourny and made a regional but the regular season conference winner didn’t make it at all

They absolutely are. Although they do have a win against Ole Miss so take that for what it’s worth.

Koki had a write up on the regional. Seems like Rhode Island has a legit lefty but will probably pitch him Friday against DBU.

Only takes three wins to move on to next weekend. Start Noot against Little Rock and win the Anderson and Eyanson starts and we're on to the Supers. If there's a stumble somewhere, we have Evans/Cowen ready to go for a fourth game - shouldn't come to that, though.

I've seen some argue that 2 and 3 seeds should pitch their #2 in game 1 because if you win, you have your ace for the 1 seed and if you lose, you have your ace on the mound with your season on the line.

Not saying I agree but some coaches have gone this route. I think a lot depends on the drop off between the two.

Hopefully it goes this way. If we drop one, I'd rather shores/noot get the last one.

not sure they wanna move onto winners bracket without their ace. They may use a right hander(the other guy they got) and if they lose, then beat Little Rock and then use lefty against loser of LSU/DBU to get to the finals. If they beat DBU wothoutnthat lefthander it will be an interesting matchup against LSU. I know this sounds crazy but they have a better chance that route to save their guy for the loser bracket(3rd game) to get to the finals. They will likely waste him in game 1 tho. I wouldn't if my other starter isnt as good. Who knows until Friday.

I’m suspicious of those Little Rock numbers.
