For some reason I get the feel that CP would be a great counterbalance to Nick Saban. There are a lot of commonalities to approach. Would love to see him land in BR.

ETA: Obviously we want all 3, but seems like the likelihood of that happening is getting slimmer by the day.

a Pipe Dream

If Brick joins Chavis than I think we get both Pendergast and Ed O.

LSU is trying to work the idea of keeping all 3, but I think in the end, Haley goes with Chavis and LSU lands Ed O and CP. We'll see how this develops in the next day or so.

not that I don't believe you but what are your sources? Or is this just speculation?

I've heard the same things but I only base that what I have read online.

Orgeron's name has also surfaced as a possible replacement as the team's defensive line coach if current defensive line coach Brick Haley decides to follow Chavis to Texas A&M. It's been reported that the Aggies are also pursuing Haley to join Chavis in College Station.

Personally I would like Brick to stay and coach LBs...Brick is a solid coach and he would have a ton of data on Grimes and our OLinemen...that is a huge deal in the trenches

From that it looks like O MAY end up as DC at Miss St.

Yeah, the way he's talking it looks like he'd rather end up at LSU.

I know Orgeron is a good recruiter, but is he even that good of a DL coach? Don't know too much about him, fill me in...

But we also tried it with two knuckleheads

CP and EO seem to generally like each other and work well together
