Did you read the link to the article on him that I put in several of the Pendergast threads?

Is he currently coaching or did he take the year off?
When Sarkesian took over USC this past season he brought his own DC. Pendergast is still getting paid by USC so took the year off. Very solid resume including coaching to a Super Bowl.

Almost ten years of DC experience in the NFL, coached three top defenses for the Arizona Cardinals including their Super Bowl team, DC/DB coach at USC for years.

How good was Cal's defense when he was there?

Fingers crossed. Looks like Miles knew all along. Maybe he deserves more credit than he gets. Or is this where I say even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

Im confused. Ed Orgeron says he's not interested at this time. Why? Isnt he unemployed?

Can someone fill me in on this guy? Was he at USC when Carroll was there? Nevermind..... it helps to click on the link. Amazing!
Student coach, meaning gets into the film and position breakdown.
Known as an excellent gameday coach.
Understands fundamentals.
Took USC from its 4-3 look to a 5-2 look, more like a hybrid 3-4.
Not sure the word on recruiting.
Worked with Orgeron at USC. Orgeron speaks highly of him and his ability to coach.
45ish. Not married. No kids. Lives in Arizona with elderly parents.
If hired, it definately takes the sting from losing Chavis.
Reported TxAM was courting him.
At least would be a lateral move. At best, signficant upgrade due to age, poinit in career, defensive philosphy.

Because he wants to be a head coach somewhere. I can;t see him accepting anything less than a DC job and even then, he'd be looking to jump ship soon thereafter.

Manny Diaz is NOT the guy we want. He sucks. Ask Texas.

Love this guy. Defense will not lose a step. Do it a sap and we won't lose any recruits and might even gain a few.

My only wonder is if this means a switch to a 3-4 defense and how that fits with our personnel. (In all reality, it might be beneficial for our DL) but jw

So apparently Pendergast and Miles both served on the Dallas Cowboys' staff from 1998 to 2000 together.
This sounds very plausible.
Would make me feel a lot better about losing Chief.
I'm on the cliff's edge right now.
