He did and Woodward told him to STTDB.

Tiger Rag, one of my favorite songs was banned a long long time ago.
One of my first memories from Tiger Stadium back in 1982 was hearing Tiger Rag being played and the accompanying, "HA HA HA HA HA a-hole! a-hole!" chant.*
1982. And no one freaked out...children still grew up...people still showed up to church the next morning I guess, etc.
The difference is not students...the difference is in how quickly we expect to nanny state the experience.
* We played Tiger Rag last week btw. I know this because I, obviously, mouthed the old chant and made myself smile.

What am I missing? Why the meltdowns and temper tantrums? Some of you are upset that the University president doesn't want people acting like horse's behinds to visitors?
What's wrong with either being nice or just walking past a total stranger who is for the other team?

I don't know when it got to the point when LSU Admin decided to ban Tiger rag, probably with the rise of social media and TV games. I think it got banned when SKip was AD in 2006, but don't quote me on that one.
In 1982, I don't remember if LSU was on national TV much and yes, I went to every Home game that year. Seems to have been more of the Tiger Vision era. ABC was still the only player in CFB and they had just 1 game a week for the most part, maybe 2 double headers per year.

We need to keep it sober and classy Saturday for our guests from Florida.

Absolutely nothing, and I encourage all to behave the right way.
The issue is feeling the need to send out the message in the first place, because in doing so you're telegraphing that the message is necessary.
It's kind of like telling people you're with not to steal when they enter a store, and then act surprised when store employees keep an eye on the people after hearing your message to them. How about just assume the best?

I would ask him not to suspend Will Wade.

That dude is such a fricking pussy.
Thinks tailgates should have tea and crumpets. Probably loves Florida's 2 bits cheer.

What a loser of a president we have

FKA is the most tone deaf person i have ever seen. How does he not realize that our fanbase dislikes him and anything he says will be not just ignored but actively defied.

You may have a point about the messenger, but on the other hand, King is the guy getting paid to make these statements and I guess take the heat from segments of the fan base that already do not like him. In a sense, it probably shows somewhat of leadership of President Alexander making this statement rather than ordering a subordinate, the AD in this case, to make the statement.
Again, all of the above is just my view, not a dogmatic statement, for the record.

It was removed for a while, but it's being played now. it was played last week.

Honestly, TV is irrelevant here. Producers in the truck can EASILY lower the sound of any mics that are picking up something they don;t want to broadcast. You can literally hear them mixing sound if you know what to listen for and compare it to what the stadium sounds like live. The issue is fans in the stands contacting LSU and complaining. My point there is that "questionable" behavior in Tiger stadium is nothing new. LSU's reactions to it is new.
None of that is in any way suggestion I'm in favor of screaming "EAT shite! frick YOU!" back and forth across the stadium like Wisconsin traditionally does each week...just that the reactions to things like this ALWAYS exacerbate the problem rather than fix them. And yet, over reaction is always what we get and then seemed stunned that it has little to no effect.

We can be rowdy, drunk AF, and Tiger Bait opponents into oblivion as long as we offer drinks and jambalaya to the ones that are good sports about it. If you're not a good sport about it, it'll just get worse. Like when your big brother picks on you, it stops if you pretend it doesn't bother you.

If FKing ever does us a favor and suicides himself, I’ll host a TD meet up party at my place
