The Yankees have the same rule. As much as I hate them, not a bad idea to follow how they roll

As if a facial hair policy is the reason for any success they've had.

Wish Coach O would do the same with his players and that damn hair hanging out the back of the helmets!

Certain groups (based on typical football demographics compared to baseball) would almost certainly take offense to that and that's not a distraction that is needed.
White hard hitting players?

A win this year will buy him at least another 5-7 years.

Totally agree. Looked like a bunch of jackasses that have never been there before.

I will never like him as our coach. With that said however, I would certainly respect his accomplishment this year.

But to say he has 5-7 years without qualifying that at all is quite a stretch. The expectation at LSU should be super regionals 75% of the time, CWS 50% of the time (and going deep half of those times). If PM does that, then I'm ok with him continuing to coach at LSU... even though I think is the most overrated coach I've ever seen.

They are college kids and mostly on partial scholarships. Let them wear whatever makes them comfortable as long as they aren't embarrassing the University (talking about off the field stuff). If you want to talk about image, look at how bad some of the LSU fans look in the stands. Who knew homeless people could afford tickets?!

Have any of you been to Cali lately. These guys look like everyone else out there. I would assume Fullerton is embracing the place where they are located and allowing it to be showcased. Having strict rules like that would probably hurt their ability to recruit in a more liberal setting. Just like you are bashing them for having unique facial hair, they would probably find this thread ridiculous. This is more of a regional thing than anything else IMO.

I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of CPM, but I respect his policy on requiring his players to be clean shaven. Looking at these other teams who have mustaches, or bleached hair for the postseason makes them look like a bunch of high school teams, meanwhile it looks like LSU is there to strictly handle business

It's a good thing LSU doesn't have players with bleached hair and is strictly there to handle business, otherwise they would look like a bunch of high school teams.

No idea why people care about long hair, facial hair, whatever. None of that affects how you play

Exactly. Kids will be kids and want to show their personality. In no way does it determine how you play.

Gotta laugh at you people that want to play "fashion police" here on the rant.

The Rant: I have short hair and no facial hair so how dare any of you young men playing a game be different than me. Damn those other teams who have players with dyed hair.

Kramer Robertson just kicked some of you folks right in the nuts.
