Actually, I'm glad he's gone, now O can actually make a hire that isn't some guy who had a great season this year. LSU fans and LSU's HC made a decision on one year of production from a guy

You mean like O did last season?

I guess you're right, LSU's offense scored so much more against Troy and Miss St this year. Canada wins

Lol WTF. Everyone stop arguing with this guy.

Coach O said immediately after the Troy game that they tried a “new” offense in the first half of the Troy game, and it was obvious that O was holding back the Canada offense until the tough stretch of the season started.

Canada’s offense scored 24 in ONE half against Troy. Had O let him do his job, that game turns out much differently. Could have been 48-28 or even lower for Troy.

Dave Dorian kicked Canada to the curb suddenly at NC State too. Doesn’t seem like he is a very popular guy with his employers.

Ensminger has emphatically stated he doesn't want the job

Don't fricking bullshite yourself. If O tells Steve to coach em up for $1.2 million a year, Ensminger will laugh his arse off to the bank as our new OC. This is the worst fricking timeline

Doesn't matter who we hire. No OC can implement a truly new offense in a single summer. Especially when the previous style had been entrenched for eleven years. All things considered Canada did a great job with what he had.

Orgeron gets zero pass for breaking in a new OC next year. He's brought this on himself.

The melt on here is well deserved. We essentially lost half the brains of the football coaching staff. Thank God for Aranda.

O was a terrible hire. We're not going to win anything of prestige with the shrimp boat captain from Larose.

lol

Alabama had three in one season and won a national championship

The days of needing two years are over. These kids are waayyy more advanced. Especially if you have a zone blocking scheme and a read component. They can have it running in a quick second

Bruh it’s gonna be Ensminger. O is no different than Miles. He’s a short sighted buffoon who thinks his way is the only way and is insanely loyal to the dumbass, gladhanding yes men who agree with him. Next year when Dave bails O will hire one of his buddies just like Les. Until we get rid of that rat frick Joe Alleva none of this will change.

I don't want Ensminger as OC. I think that would be a very bad decision by Oregon.

But, certainly you realize that it's unfair to judge Ensminger as an OC when he took over mid season. It's not like you go load a new playbook into the PlayStation and everything changes. He was forced to work with what was already implemented. He did a good job.

Well, this is an interesting turn of events. Do we have a list of OCs we should go after? I'm sure Briles and Freeze have been mentioned.

The Canada issue seems to be related to everything other than his offense. So at this point I’m ok with cutting him loose.

However if Ensminger is the long term replacement, Coach O has dug his own grave.
