LSU pitching situation

I think I’d start Collins tonight.
Dutton has been shaky and I trust Collins more than Taylor.
I still think Hilliard can give you 3 innings or so if you have to play Monday.

Please don't. It's not time to try being cute, like we tried with starting Hasty in the SECT. Start Money or Dutton. End of story.

The Ukrainian Nightmare is still lurking in the pen.

I like that. If he can get 3-4 innings, 2x through the order, that would be huge.

Start Money. We’ll see quickly if he is real or counterfeit.

I’d rather not watch USM play homerun derby.

Gotta think Dutton, Collins, Money, Reyz, are easily available…Gervais, maybe even Cooper.

Did you USM win already?
Or is this another instance of the Rant calling a game before it ends, or even starts?

Yeah, USM still has to beat Kennesaw before playing us again. And that one hasn't even started yet.

Exactly.
I’m going Money or Dutton. And more than likely I’m going Money.
Both teams showed us the first time we played, that they can rake the junk
type of pitcher. But we saw Fontenot and Gervase shut them down with their higher-“ish” velo type of style. So if it was me, I’d throw Money, but keep a close eye on him… when Money’s FB isn’t flatter than a shemale teen then he’s tough.
Hopefully he can get us 5/6 innings, then we can call in Reyz and his 97/98 to slam the door.

I don't know, but I sure as hell hope USM pitches their normal Saturday starter Hunter Riggins against Kennesaw State today. I want him burnt before us.

I say we just start Reyzleman. Kid has the experience starting and was stretched out in Hoover. Get him on the bump throwing heat right out of the gate.

What has happened to Hasty? His last two appearances have been extremely bad. Can’t even get close to the strike zone

Collins or Dutton
Money isn’t touching the ball for me unless out of arms

Makes you wonder if the stretch of good appearances was an anomaly

Dutton Taylor combo is probably going to be the option in game 1. Collins probably saved to combine with Hilliard tomorrow if that game is necessary

That's how he normally was. The month of nasty stuff was the outlier for Hasty. They started giving him opportunities once he starting finding the strike zone in bullpen sessions. That's why he came out of nowhere halfway through the season.
Once he started throwing strikes he looked good. In the last two outings he's lost the ability to throw strikes.
It sucks too, because he looked like one of our best relievers for a month. Then Leah Vann decided to write an article about him before the SEC tourney and he forgot how to pitch again.
Cooper also hasn't looked great in his last few outings. If both of them have fallen off and are struggling again, the bullpen suddenly doesn't look as strong as it did.

That’s a lot of at bats for 3-4 innings
