I sure as hell hope those self-glorifying dumbasses aren't going there for the game. The pimps are the most retarded of all the fans I've seen. It's embarrassing to the school whether you like it or not. They do it so they purely can get attention and nothing more. What is wrong with dressing normally and just partying it up.
When you dress up like that, its all about attention and self-glorification, plain and simple. They are embarrassments and nothing more.

if they didn't care, they wouldn't be trying so hard to impress people

What they do doesn't define me, so I am not that concerned. They are having fun though and if it isn't hurting anybody, I say more power to them.
Kinda like watching a Bachelor/Bachelorette party and calling them an attention whore.......wrong, they are having fun with thier friends. Not a perfect parallel but similar none the less.
The idea of staying focused on LSU and the sporting event is along the lines of worship protocol. If they showed up to mass dressed like that, then I'm with you. However, this is a big party, not mass.

They do one game a year, and this year its Moo State.

So you would say that the LSU batman and Spiderman thing is stupid? Cries for attention does not equal having a creative idea and running with it. If they cared what people would think about it then they wouldn't dress up like purple and gold cladded pimps.

Nothing at all. Whats wrong with being creative and partying it up?

Its obvious that the people talking bad about them have never even met them. Really, they are more LSU fans then any of you talking bad about them will ever be. Personally i don't think you guys would have the balls to dress up like that, even though its all in good fun. If they were Ole Miss fans i would still think it was a great, creative, unique idea. Some of you just really like hating on people.....

yeah, im sure thats true
which is why they are a bunch of losers in the first place who have to dress like pimps to try and be cool.

May as well throw in my two cents to this one.
People say it isn't hurting anybody, but what do I do when my kids ask, "What's a pimp?"
Do you expect me to explain about prostitutes and the men who beat them up for their money to a child?
What next: LSU Hitler & Mussolini? Purple and gold shirts with the NAMBLA logo on them? LSU Jane Fonda and Vietcong?
There are certain "costumes" that are inappropriate for family events (which LSU tailgating is). These dudes want to get together and drink and party in their silly getups, fine. Do it at Halloween. I don't want to have my school associated with a dirtbag group of criminals.

those parties are meant to give attention to those people! that's the point of the party!
LSU gamedays are meant to give attention to LSU
it's not "saturday with LSU Pimp Nation, with a game following"

PLease, you're kid would learn more bad things following brittany spears or miley cyrus. I'm not even going to mention TV now-a-days. All they have to do is turn the channel to VH1 or MTV and they would get more harm out of that than seeing a bunch of men dressed in silly purple and gold attire.

HAve you seen them beating any prostitutes? Or would you actually tell your kid about that on your own?

If having a good time is a crime, then they all should be arrested!
I've seen "normal" LSU fans do worse, like the streaker during the LSU-Oregon State game. How would you explain that to your kid?

the same way
"hey kid, if you turn out to be a loser like that/those guys, I am going to disown you."

i have no respect for people who try to turn LSU gameday into an alter of worship over them
sounds like your jealous that they didn't let you be a part of their group.

OMG, you can't be this stupid. Do you realize what your child is seeing when he goes tailgating at an LSU football game. There are over $100K people out there drinking, and 75% of them are drunk. They listen to music way to loud and some of the words are dirty. The people cuss. They throw trash on the ground. Women dress like the little sluts we want them to be.
Seriously, get a life.
Yes, there outfits are a little silly, but so is much of what the purple and gold nation prides themselves on dress wise. No grown man should wear walmart jersies, purple and gold crocks, jean jorts, mullets, camo on game day, and purple and gold confederate flags should not fly. But you know why it all happens. Because our fanbase is crazy and they don't care about what people think of them.
They want to have fun and watch LSU play.

So, your THAT guy. The one who morally burns every other tailgate with a glance.
First, you are aware you don't have to explain what a pimp is???? Sometimes a little white lie is ok.
Second, are you prepared to answer: "Daddy what's an alcoholic?"
Hilter, Mussolini, Fonda, Vietcong.....holy mother of spin job! The pimp stereotype has long since been satirical in nature. The others, not so much. But, good analogy
How do you feel about conservatively dressed drunk adults at family events (which LSU games are)?
Easy Francis.

Like i said earlier, which you failed to respond to.
They are decked out in purple and gold pimp suits! If LSU isn't a focus of a purple and gold pimpsuit at an LSU game then i don't know what is. WOuld it make you feel better if they were wearing purple and gold polo's? Of course they get alot of attention. More attention then some dork wearing kahki's and polo's on gameday who post on an LSU messgae board who can atleast claim most posts, that should get you some attention like that stupid radio program you did
Someone with 150,000 posts on an LSU board, most of those arguing with people about stupid cr@p is not being desperate for attention?
You "still" crack me up

That's why my kids don't do any of that.
I didn't say those guys beat prostitutes, but the group they are dressing up as DO. I've personally never seen a pimp beat a prostitute-- my only close-up brush with either of these kinds of people in real life came at a cafe in NOLA before Mardi Gras one year, and then the pimp was just pulling up the drugged out hooker's thigh high stockings and trying to comb her hair-- guess she had an appointment later.

You do realize that "real" pimps don't dress up like that? Except in movies or LSU games

When I go to a Game I think about how much fun I'll have watching the Tigers.
When these fools go to a Game they think about how much fun people will have looking at them.
Bunch of attention whores who don't do one thing to enhance my gameday experience. And I'm pretty sure the players don't give a frick about them either.
