The only way i would prefer a 2 seed if its that we get sent to ucsb as the 2. Because then it would be at a neutral site and it would be in vegas.....and i want to go.

am I missing something here? How come now of these teams total Quadrant wins are adding up to their total wins?

I think LSU needs at least one win in the SEC, maybe 2 or 3 to be a comfortable host pick. It looks like A&M, heaven forbid, may have a leg up on the Tigers as it currently stands. I had no idea they were RPI 14. And they had a great weekend effort vs Arky.

I don't think this is accurate considering we have a half game edge over them in the conference standings and beat them 2 out of 3 and have a better record versus the top 50.

I will agree that whichever of those 2 goes further in the SEC tournament is probably ahead of the other one though. If they do the same, I think LSU stays a hair ahead.

Texas A&M is ranked higher than us in at least one poll, D1 Baseball.

I understand that. I thought we were talking about hosting chances. I don't care about the rankings. They are really two different things in some regards. The rankings take recency into account a lot more. The postseason resumes look at the entire body of work a lot more.

If LSU is a host as the 16th #1 seed, you get the home regional but you might get paired up with the #1 overall seed in UCLA.

And we all know what happens if we get UCLA...we lose Chris Guillot.

Dont see how the rankings matter, lsu is currently ahead of a&m on the hosting bubble by almost every metric besides rpi

aTm beats Florida in 10. UF winning would have really helped LSU.

Hopefully Florida misses the tournament altogether now. LSU can earn their chance to host this week

L$U going to Vegas. Enjoy the trip and I think it is actually better for you. As a previous poster said, 16th most likely gets a 1 in the supers.

L$U has more lower tier losses, which is going to be the reason you don't host.

Yes, that is a fact, great job history teacher.

Doesn't change that your team choked away against lower quality teams and will be a number two seed. Those powerful LA teams kicked your a$$. Northwestern State, McNeese State and Southern. Oh wait, I forgot ULaLa and LA Tech.

I tried to be nice about it, but those are facts!

OP's records seem to be incorrect.

LSU's actual record is 34-22 with a Q1 (19-14) Q2 (5-4) Q3 (2-3) Q4 (8-1)

I still think you going to Vegas is the best way to get to the Supers. Look at the #1 seed you are facing. It would be a walk in the park for you and the SEC.

It isn't choking if we were never playing great to begin with.

One of our worst regular seasons in a while and Aggies still couldn't get the series win.
