Very classless and showed much about his character imo.

Flame away if y'all want, but even his own team didn't appreciate how he left.

Because Nick Saban left the Dolphins in a much classier way? How about Bobby Petrino, Brian Kelly, Lane Kiffin, Dennis Franchione, Tommy Tubberville (Ole Miss)? Which one of those coach's team appreciated how he left?

Tennessee in 2005 didn't help matters at all. I for one saw Pelini as the biggest contributor on our staff in 07 so looking back, Miles has only been a glorified overpaid recruiting director.

Hate to say it, but Wilbon is right. Winning SECs and BCS Championships haven't been enough. There's nothing this man can or can't do, that will please such a huge segment of the LSU supporters. I've part Negatiger, but DAMN some people are so ungrateful, it's not even worth discussing.

Dude it's simple. Those of us that actually understand football and aren't fans because of tailgating, can clearly see the decline in the program on the field. It isn't a witchunt...the dude just keeps putting out an underachieving product on the field.

He also said this. I didn't type what he said verbatim.....just the most dramatic part.

"He wasn't liked from the get-go."

Meh.

There's an absolute improvement everywhere on this team. That credit should go to Miles.

But he destroys that credit by his handling of the QB's.

There's alot of positive things about this team. But the one negative is so glaring, you're blinded by it.

Then explain the upswing on the part of our defense, since 2008, as well as the special teams, if you would. And keep it to football, which I don't seem to understand, according to the previous post.

Also, how are you so certain I'm only here for the tailgating?

Ah, so its just LSU fans who act this way?

So the UGA fans I hear everyday on the radio in Atlanta and read the vents in the AJC are all figments of my imagination. WOW!

And www.fireronzook.com and www.firemarkricht.com never existed

Thanks for clearing that up

Personally I think that many of Miles' detrators simply don't respect him as a Head Coach. If you don't respect someone, it is hard to look past that to see any success that they have.

His comments were accurate.
most fans were reluctant to accept him at first and didn't really care for him. he grew on a lot of them, especially with the bowl blowouts and of course the have a great day speech and NC. But mid 2008 to present he has lost a lot of them.

There are always those who hated him from the beginning and always will, but most embraced him eventually.

Yes. We can rip those coaches too. Miles doesn't get a pass either.

What Franchione did was by far the worst. A league of his own.

Would Petrino or anyone else have left their schools any differently than Les left Okie St.? And did he leave Okie St. any differently than Saban left LSU?

There were people that wanted him gone after seeing his headset for the Az St game.

Not on offense. Chavis was a good hire and he's maximizing the talent on D and we see what could be on offense. Miles controls the offense and that is still just as big a clusterfrick as ever.

I'm not ready to give him credit for stuff when he doesn't take the blame. I'd respect him if he would nut up and do something about situations before it's too late. It's about to be too late and you know it.

It's glaring, because it's really THAT bad. I mean come on, we have talent all over the field and we run a Tecmo Bowl playbook. I love the way the D and special teams are playing, but we can't score or even sustain a drive. We aren't going to win that way (I know we're 4-0, blah blah blah) but we should be worried about the real teams. It's just getting really old.

"Wilbon: WE are not BYU..........We've never passed the football at LSU...." :Lmao:

Seriously, Wilbon, STFU...........we've had a Belitnikoff award winner......a #1 qb and easily have had balanced offense at LSU for the past 30 years.

[quote]LSU on PTI -- Kornheiser and Wilbon Comment on Booing
LSU fans ragged on Les Miles since that first Monday night in Tiger Stadium. This board was alive, then, with threads about how stupid he was with the "Brittney Spears" head set, the asking where his wife was seated, flashing the #1 going into the tunnel at half-time.

Hate to say it, but Wilbon is right. Winning SECs and BCS Championships haven't been enough. There's nothing this man can or can't do, that will please such a huge segment of the LSU supporters. I've part Negatiger, but DAMN some people are so ungrateful, it's not even worth discussing.[/quo

This is exactly when I began to doubt Les' competence, but you have selective memory. I don't care about his headset. He can wear a skirt if he wants, but that game he blew a 20+ point lead at half. Weak coaches blow that kind of lead, poor coaches do it repeatedly.

Defense is great. G.R.E.A.T.

But Miles controls the offense...that's his "specialty." He made a good hire with Chavis, but I can only imagine he let's his defensive staff do what they do. We are anemic on offense and that is unacceptable at this school with this current talent.

We saw his managerial skills in 2008 by promoting two people to run the defense that were incapable and he sat around all year and let it happen. He didn't make a change until after the season. Same thing that he's going to do this year on offense. Let his buddy Crowton fire himself. frick that...he should step up and be the head man. If that means hurting a few feelings or two then do it...it shouldn't be this hard.

I'm not...that wasn't strictly directed at you

I was in Iraq when they hired him, listned to the ASU game at 4 in the morning. Wasnt impressed with him.

After he blew the UT game I thought he was a fricking tard. He has gotten by on talent alone the first few years, look at the last 2.

I dont hate the guy, but I hate the way he runs the program and is to stubborn to make changes.
