Comparisons were made to the weight of our O-line to that of the Saints starters who were smaller across the board. We tried telling y’all in recruiting but everyone was so fascinated with a top 5 class while only getting one OL per year recruiting while bama was getting 5 elite OL per class

Best thing that can happen right now is our defensive line absolutely dominating and embarrassing them everyday in practice until they find their balls and take some pride in what they do. The only bright spot I can see is that I’m pretty sure Dellinger, Will Campbell and Emery Jones are all going to be solid starters for Walker Howard to have in front of him.

I know one damn thing, Ingram, Ward and Bradford need to step away from the buffet line. They are fat, overweight and out of shape, that goes for Thomas also. Some of the defensive tackles could lose some weight also.

When you have a slow indecisive QB that doesn't pick up open WR's fast enough it will make any OL look 'soft. Max Johnson is not helping. I would love to see Nussmier be able to play the whole second half against CM.

LSU hasnt recruited well enough here for years.
Theyve missed quite a bit on the few big fish they've been able to reel in.
On the O-line, it isnt Xs and Os, its Jims and Joes.

I agree. Let me preface my opinion by saying I think Brad Davis with proper time is a great coach.
BUT
I think he took the wrong approach for the OL this year. He got here a month before the season and instead of just trying to improve the OL under the constraints that they were already working with, he tried to rebuild the way they think a month before the season.
I agree that the OL needs a new approach, I just think it was foolish to try to install this new approach in one month. To me the OL wasn’t good to begin with but now they are even worse cuz they are all overthinking everything and no one trusts one another.
Again I think Brad Davis will be a HUGE upgrade going forward, I just think he mishandled the current crop.

I'm at a point where IDC if the players don't like the coach. The guys on our team are fricking coddled, and anytime we hire a coach that holds them accountable they tell all their friends how they don't like him. Coach O has created a culture of a bunch of soft pussies, and they don't like when they actually get coached.
