This style of offense will need to be in position long enough to get those recruits who can play the qb position and wr.....we need 5 star players to commit....until then, this highly skilled offensive scheme will sputter esp without a good rb...

Tough seasons ahead for lsu

is this another example of fans lowering their expectations?

Are you seriously saying we need more talent on offense?

Damn near all the WRs were former 4 and 5 stars (funny enough, 2 of the 3 supposed starters were only 3 stars). 2 of the 3 QBs were 4-stars.

What kind of star talent do you think Oklahoma State pulls in yet has a top notch offense year in and out.

No they don't. A potent amd productive offense can be installed in one off season with the right coaching. We have the athletes in place, coaching is the only question mark.

Lol well that’s bad for O. He has this year alone to show significant improvement and improve from the recruiting class he had last year or they will likely be searching for his replacement.

Next next year homes. Or maybe next next year after next because we have to wait for the '19 class to mature.

This reminds me of Lou Tepper saying it would take 4 years to install his defense.

But Georgia gets Fromm and also brings in Fields just a year apart

Very similar to Tepper. Just lying to buy time so he can keep cashing those checks. All the excuses from the coaching staff is making me very worried about the upcoming season.

LSU has both a pocket passer and a dual threat qb today. What exactly would they be waiting on???

Need a Justin Fields level of QB recruit (which we will never get) to have an offense capable of scoring more than 28 points a game

Yeah, if LSU threw the football like Okie St then you would have an offense at LSU and I would love that, and I thought or am thinking that Ensminger is supposed to open it up like that, but not to that extent of course. I would love to see them throw the football in an unconscious sought of way using the pass to set up the run because they have the WR talent to do just that. These inexperienced RB's would have an easy time of it running wise because holes would be wide open with opposing defenses being off balance because they're throwing so much. But I don't know what the heck Ensminger will do, I still saw the basic power I formation, pistol and all that crap that I thought they would be getting away from now.

I don't see how anyone can be expecting anymore than 7-8 wins this year...total wins.
