lsu will lose tommorrow....its floridas destiny to win this year....but hey lsu lost to the nutt last year and still got in....so boils down to the bcs points.....

OK bear with me.
I think the majority of Tiger fans can agree on 2 things:
1) Only an absolute tool would claim to be an LSU fan, go onto an LSU fan forum, and argue that it's a good thing for LSU to lose a game.
2) Only an absolute tool would claim to be an LSU fan, go onto an LSU fan forum, and argue that it's a good thing for LSU to lose a game.

I definitely understand what the original poster is trying to say. Here's the way I've been telling friends around here.
If you told me right now that we will be 11-1 at the end of the regular season and heading to Atlanta, I would reply that BY FAR the best scenario (in terms of NC hopes) is that that loss was to Florida in Gainesville. This is completely at odds with my personal feelings. Living over here this is the biggest game of the year for me personally and I will be VERY bummed should we lose. In fact, personally, I'd probably rather lose next week in Columbia. The point is that if you can call a loss a "quality" loss, then tomorrow would be about as quality a loss as we could have this year.
If we win the SEC with a 12-1 record with that loss coming tomorrow night, we WILL be playing for the National Title.

How is it their destiny? Florida's record against defending national championships is bleak to say the least....it is like 3-8 or something. AND don't say it is because we will lose on the road because if the rebels can do it...The TIGERS DEFINITELY can!!!!

You're basing your argument on the flawed theory that a loss to Florida somehow helps us NOT lose to Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, or SEC East Champion.
