Beyond him, I'll have to look further to see why I'm showing different than you.

McKay for one.

Ahh, yeah, he's been off my spreadsheet for a while. I missed his name in that list.

McKay and McCabe gets it down to 36 after yesterday, 35 after Sanders.

I didn't think Bugg was gone last year.
Bugg was told it would be in his best interest to take the contract. His useful days for LSU were behind him and he would likely not see many innings if he returned for another year.

I am definitely Ben Wyatt in this scenario.

Makes sense. Probably not unlike Johnny Dishon.

I'm not, but I'm okay with you feeling that way.

Norman probably will go.
Plus he can rehab with Reds.

PM will likely just go with a 33/34 man roster if he has too. He will have some walk on tryouts for a spot.
Makes it easier bringing in the next class.

We have the space on the roster right now though.
Every year that I can remember, and you, too, I'm sure, we've always had one or two (or three) surprise transfers out.

They get the Mainieri Dutch Uncle offer about their future at LSU or they just realize if they want to play a lot, they need to move on.

Are you saying he wants to lose Norman? Because having a year where many players don't graduate or get drafted (like what may happen next year) is a good problem to have and something PM has never had an issue with.

Unless you have personal knowledge of his situation, I'll take the other side of that trade. His grandfather is a tenured professor at LSU so he has local family supporting him in Baton Rouge.

It's a line that doesn't make sense considering Norman will leave at the end of the year anyway.

ETA: Meaning I don't expect him to use his 5th year.

Will Norman even be healthy enough to pitch next year?
He's probably out for the fall and maybe early spring.

He got hurt early in the year. Earlier than Cartwright last year. He'll be able to pitch as long as he doesn't have any setbacks.

Not sure Frederick will make the cut.

His legacy will be beaning Deichmann in practice, which created the story line for Greg's epic season.

"Just days after surgery on his face to repair broken bones from being hit by a pitch in practice, Deichmann launched a 486 ft HR...blah...blah...blah."

Wouldn't next season be his fourth year at LSU? I'm not following what you're saying.

Yes.

He's just saying he wouldn't come back again after next season, next season being his RS Junior Year.

He's got an extra year because of the injury.

Got it. I never figured his injury red shirt year would mean anything for LSU regarding eligibility anyway.
