I think LSU will beat Kentucky and Ole Miss and set up a showdown with Bama at death valley where bama will get crushed. This team is rounding into shape and will be tuff to beat with Les at the helm.

While possible, without much improved QB and receiver play, this is highly unlikely. The Tigers will need to make consistent big plays in the passing game to defeat OM or 'Bama. Frankly, I don't see it, unless Harris is given enough plays to gel with his playmakers. AJ has tremendous heart but is far too inconsistent at this point. Harris has had one very bad performance. Les needs to give him some meaningful PT this week IMHO.

How often did we say this during the Jefferson reign, and yet kept winning games? This team has the capability to be special this year still, and with how crazy the NCAA season has been, a lot can still happen if this team continues to mature.

Its reasonable we will beat Kentucky but it will be a close game that can go either way. Im sorry but unless we turn around miraculously on offense and defense, I don't see us beating Ole Miss. They are just an all around good team. Pretty good offense, and a great defense. I hope they prove me wrong but I just don't see it. Alabama is more realistic but that will be tough. My fear is, if we get down to any team. We aren't the kind of team that can just put points up. While we looked better against Florida. We caught quite a few breaks from them scoring and making big plays. I hope Les continues giving Fournette the ball, he is what will give this team a chance the rest the season. We will need balance the last part of our schedule if we are to have a chance. The D line and linebackers are still kinda suspect to me. Its hard to tell since its Florida... but Kentucky will be a good indicator of our progress. Im looking forward to a good game this weekend.

The Ole Miss game is the swing game this season. LSU will be 6-2 and the atmosphere will be electric.

If a midseason run is two wins vs Florida and Kentucky, then you're right

I cannot understand anyone being even remotely confident that LSU will beat Ole Miss. There's a distinct possibility that LSU will not see the end zone at all against their defense.

So many people saying "oh it's the same old Ole Miss" when it really looks like they have the best defense in the country.

I've been pretty hard on this team, especially after Auburn (not on here, just my personal thoughts). I honestly thought that Mississippi State was a fluke and that we would destroy Auburn. After last week, while the QB play was pretty bad, I saw a lot of improvement from the D and the O line. If we do as well against Kentucky as I think we will (I think we crush them), then I bet we are going to have a great year and will end up in the top 10 by seasons end. Hell, if we can gel as a unit on both sides, we might not lose again. I know this might sound optimistic, but I believe in these young men and think they will pull together and prove the haters wrong.

I really wish we had the bye week before that game to help get more of the young guys prep and reps beyond what can be done while working on a game plan.

That said, this is a classic look-ahead game for OM. They have Auburn at home the following week, which is their last huge test before the Egg Bowl. It's a very similar setup to what we had playing then last year, and we know how that went. Also, bear in mind that none of their players have "been there." This is an unfamiliar situation for their entire team, and it is human nature to overlook a team you should beat to a larger matchup. I'm not saying they will show up flat and try to mail one in, but it is a real possibility.

The last two years, we have seen Miles play far more aggressively against Bama to try and shift balance and momentum of the game. Obviously it didn't work out well last year, but the only thing that saved Saban 2 years ago was McCarron pulling out a huge saving drive. With OM's strength on defense, and the fact that we lost to them last year, I think he's going to take the same approach with the Rebels. I think we will see Cam and Miles throw out whatever they can to spark the offense and get the crowd going. Add in the revenge factor for our returning players, and there is potential for some magic here. I'm not placing any bets, but I am certainly hoping the Tigers can take a big step forward and ruin Ole Piss' ride.

I think we will beat Kentucky and have a shot at Bama but we will be hard pressed to score on that Ole Piss D...
