But he finished 2nd in coach of the year despite his team still having a losing record.
Thats because he took over a team that averaged 19 wins a year in the 3 years before he took over and doubled that in his first year.

38-44
37-45
33-49
3 years in the NBA.
we could argue the word "success" i guess. If you want to be a dick.

+17 wins in his first year, with a pretty talented team that came into its own.
-1 in is 2nd year. Then fired.
1 year with SAC. Then fired.

How is he as a recruiter?
His wife is way good looking, so probably pretty good.
He won't need to be a main guy on the trail, he's instant credibility on the staff though.

says the guy that has been arguing about Jalen Mill's arrest for 2 weeks.
Im not bashing Musselman. Unlike a lot of people, i dont exactly judge a coach by his success and failures. Him coaching in the NBA says enough for me.
However, he did not have what I would call a successful NBA career. Let's just get the facts straight. He was fired after 2 years with GSW, and after 1 season with Sactown.

I take it you don't like the hire. OK, we get it. Now you can go to the Ragin' Pagin' Board.

If that's what you got out of his posts, you need better comprehension skills. He actually praised the hire, just took issue with some of the words used to describe the guys career.

Good point, except for the part where this isn't true.

OK? I guess I'm just not sure what the point of your argument is.
Great hire.

Naw, i don't think you do get it.
The LSU article was misleading, that's all i said. They mention his Coach of hte Year runner up award and 51-31 home record, but don't mention any of the other stuff.

Comprehend this...
Per Lester Earl
"Cause he's never had tons of success."
Sounds like to me he focused a lot on the negatives for someone who "liked" the hire.

From an NBA perspective. All of that was explained throughout the posts.

Sounds to me like he's arguing adjectives, but then again, I read every post in this thread.

Coach Cal 72-112 (.391) in the league. Pitino 192-220 (.466) in the league. Eric Musselman 108-138 (.439).
Sometimes the team has something to do with it. Who knows in Musselman's case, but still an interesting take.
