Who are the realistic candidates besides Wade? Just take him out of the picture for a minute.

Yeah we know you’re one of his 3 or 4 delusional supporters that don’t care if we suck as long as the nice guy can coach

Auburn chose to play. Apparently Oklahoma turned down an offer to play, but their "spot" was claimed by Tulsa. I have no idea whether or not LSU was consulted about a bid opening up after Oklahoma declined (LSU would have been next in line among SEC teams).

Need to give an NIL payout to the winner. Pick a sponsor, every member of the winning team gets an endorsement deal worth $100K.

If kids want to get paid, give them an incentive.

Look at all those tasty cupcakes.

I don’t know what has happened but the NIT has definitely been dialed down. How in the hell do they even get away with adding the CBI or CIT or whatever?

I’ll never forget the great 2002 end of the season. Brady somehow got his team on a roll at the end and beat UGA in the sec tourney. And we won an NIT game. And we were so happy! And we got an extra home game with Ball Sack State. And we lost but we were proud. Somehow those days will never come back. Not to LSU they’re not.

All of those teams could compete in the NCAAt to begin with. The NIT will def drift away if its most capable won’t accept an invite.

Why give him that much? It's money wasted.

For those actually wondering why. LSU did the right thing. Hopefully, they will do the right thing again and show McMahon the door.

I don't know. I think this implies otherwise.

I'm not sure it implies that, but I think it is more likely than if they had accepted, especially because LSU declined the invitation. Which is why

There is only one SEC team in the NIT

quote:

If the plan is to bring back CMM, then why not try to build momentum for next season by winning a couple of games in the NIT?

That seems logical, but they also declined last season. They may just not want the embarrassment of an empty arena for an NIT game. I'm also not sure if the NIT makes or loses money for LSU.
