LSU knew this was coming before there were any hints in the media - proof

Remember the private equity stuff that incorrectly leaked to the media over the summer? It was reported that LSU was going the route of traditional private equity and we were going to sell 10% of our media rights for $100,000,000.
Everyone laughed and said we are poor and questioned why we would sell 10% of our future media rights.
I think LSU intentionally leaked this information to let us know that our value to the media is estimated at $1 billion dollars.
Is it possible that LSU knew there were rumblings inside the SEC about kicking us out? Verge went on the offensive and leaked this info out through back channels so fans would know our worth for when the SEC would start talking about kicking us out. It also shows other conferences that we know our worth.
Turned out that the rumor was not fully true and that we're doing a quasi private equity deal with our biggest boosters. Pretty cool idea the way they did it, too.
Fast forward to if/when the SEC kicks us out.
Now we go shopping around to other conferences, probably the Big 10, who pays new members $46 million a year. We currently get over $70 million a year. We go to the Big 10 and negotiate a higher annual payout due to the extreme amount of value we bring. They either accept it or turn us down.
Then we go independent and negotiate an equal or even higher contract with media.
We then get to schedule teams fans actually want to play, and we get to do it our way.
I think LSU knew this was coming and got out ahead of things with that summertime private equity bullshite.

The bottom line is this is a George Soros funded operation and all of the leftist political hacks are the ones that are accusing LSU of being a rogue school and the attempt behind it is to divide the Bible Belt by the one thing that matters and most to them which is college football and I guarantee you at least one or two states in the South will turn blue after all of this and yes Paul Finebaum is in on it too

The sec isn’t kicking us out. They’re bluffing. We can counter sue and own them.

My word. I don't even know where to even begin with this.

LSU football goes independent and all other sports join BIG12 or ACC.

So SEC can punish you for expressing your opinion? No free speech?

quote:Ironic since the SEC's federal lawsuit is partially a claim that its 1st Amendment rights are being violated by LSU.

The bottom line is this…..
The SEC needs LSU
LSU does not need the SEC
The Tigers should call their bluff and leave the conference, or at the absolute minimum, demand Sankey’s IMMEDIATE termination

ironically LSU is the ones being leftist in this situation by fighting the man in the name of labor rights

There is a lot of truth to this but this entire situation is more complicated. I believe LSU owes the SEC over $40 million if they kick us out/vote us out. B1G is not going to invite us in. Its either going to be ACC or Big 12. I think a media rights deal for Football is likely but this whole situation is a lot more muddy then just simply going to another conference.
