LSU Just Completed Their Best Season In 5 Years, Arguably The Best Since 2011

First 10 win season since 2013.
I would argue that this season is the best since 2011 because I view the Fiesta Bowl as a better Bowl than the Outback (2013) and 2012 was a Peach Bowl loss.
And there were a lot of questions about these players and these coaches. In 2012 and 2013 we had Mett under center with Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry to either side and Jeremy Hill in the backfield. This season’s team not only played to their potential, they exceeded it imo. A 10 game winning, top 10 ranking, Fiesta Bowl winning team with a ton of heart and grit.
Give credit where due.
Today is a day to be happy and proud.

2012 was a better season. 2013 is a push.
Bowl game comparisons can't be made since the bowl format is different.

Brurrow is 3rd in LSU history in passing for 4 TDS in a game, should have been 5 but one was dropped.

When will we win another NC?
Will you be happy missing the playoffs again in 2019 or no?

This year was clearly better.
Same record, bowl win.
Much better offense in 2013. Defense slightly better in 2018. Both Ds weren't great.
LSU at least gave Alabama a game through 3 quarters on the road in 2013 and didn't get 29-0'd.

2012 was a better season
In 2012 we finished ranked #14. This team will be much higher ranked.
In 2012 we finished with a Peach Bowl loss. This team finished with a Fiesta Bowl win.
In 2012 we finished 2nd in sec west. This team finished third thanks to the A&M game but finished with the same conference record and a better record overall and will finish higher in rankings.

2015 was a 9-3 team with a rent-a-win canceled due to a freak storm. Get that "first 10 win season in 5 years" shite out of here.

I disagree bigly on these.
2018 has better ranking, and much tougher schedule, bigger wins. I’d actually argue 2013 was a slightly better season than 2012, including the postseason. That offense was really fun, too.
Damn, that 2012 Bama game was lit though...

Check the records from the top 25 from 2012 and compare them to 2018. College football was better in 2012.

Not really. Check out 2012's schedule.
Washington = Miami
@Texas A&M > @Auburn
South Carolina = Georgia
Loss @Florida = Loss @Florida

But it is the first 10 win season in 5 years.
I’ll wait for your next attempt at shitting on this team and the season they had.

What if we win a natty in 2019? According to you, we SHOULD win every game soooooooo...what if you are right?

This season did not have the feeling of 2011! We put no one away.

No offense, but that McNeese team on a soaking wet field could have been a struggle. We struggled against lesser teams all season before the wheels fell off in November. McNeese that year, weirdly, may have been our toughest OOC game.
I'm not saying we lose or don't win ten. What I am saying is that they were probably better than or equal to a pretty good WKU, a below average Syracuse, and a shitty Eastern Michigan (all teams that we struggled with imho). I still say we win, but a crazy play here or there in their favor and that win becomes an uncomfortable win. To me, this years team was better than 2015, even with a McNeese win.

Actually, according to the SEC, we tied for 2d in the West. There is no tie breaker for anything but 1st place to determine who goes to Atlanta. So technically LSU finished tied for second. The next team down finished 4th.
