Agreed he is a a-hole but I prefer a winning a-hole to restore our swagger than some nice old guy that has been losing in his conference year after year

Based on what?

If trying to get a coach, that would be tacky.
Let the coach try to win a natty.

Fangraghs is the baseball website that basically has pioneered analytics in the sport. It’s like baseball reference on steroids. They have writers who post articles & podcasts & such.

Johnson (Zona) Great coach just depends on the West Coast to Gulf Coast move. (I'd be very happy with it as he recruits, develops talent, and is a great coach)
Corbin (Vandy) Hates the Vandy AD bitch and I think will listen to Woody. He's 59 years old I hate to see LSU do this again 6 years from now. Love to have him as he's a great coach and would take advantage, like the other coaches mentioned, of the Tops program for the LA. kids.
McDonnell (UL) I heard his wife loves Oxford hates B.R. if true it ain't happening. Happy wife happy life.
O'Conner (UV) I'm sure will listen to what Woody says but he loves it where he's at but money talks and he's friends with Pawl who will still be in B.R. in some capacity going forward.
Mike Bianco (OM) Good guy good coach and any team would be happy to have Mike played for Skip caught for Ben. I personally would like to see LSU go In a different direction. I would not be happy winning 45 games a year and have not much to show for it. Baseball is changing and you either change with it and stay ahead of the curve or get left behind which is where LSU is now.
Also, if you leave Bianco where he's at, OM can't hire a new coach. If Mike is gone because LSU hired him then OM can go get McDonnell or Godwin and IMO becomes better. Not a move I'd like to see LSU make.
Tony Vitello (Tennessee) He did more at Tennessee since he's been there in the 3-4 years than what's happened to the Vols in the last 30 years. He made them relevant again in a short period of time, at least in baseball.
He recruits hard and develops talent and has IMO proven to be a very good and fiery coach everywhere he's been. The one thing that stands out is his players love to play for him and that does mean a lot.
I hope it's either Vitello or Johnson for LSU going forward. I'm sure something will break in the next week.

Johnson had a cws finals appearance in year 1 then 2-4 would be fireable at LSU and this year he bounced back. LSU does not work on 4 year cycles of being good.
I do love his team build though and it’s not your west coast small ball so he could probably transition well. It’s just 2-4 that are tarnishing him a bit.

You dont think johnson could win here?

Agree for the most part but if we did go west coast at least Johnson is a good recruiter and doesn’t play small ball.
If he played small ball along with his years 2-4 he would be an auto no.

I don’t want to find out what the learning curve is in recruiting. Recruiting this area is different. And I’m not sure his resume’ can trump his inexperience there
