Orgeron has damaged the LSU brand immensely. We are quickly becoming irrelevant as a national power. For the second year in a row, no one is talking about LSU after week one.

If there is anyone left at LSU that recognizes the connection between athletics and academics, they must move quickly or else risk becoming the next program in a long line of once proud athletic programs relegated to the forgotten annals of history.

Numbers, facts, anything?

Btw, NIL isn't a race. It has no end.

Meanwhile Bryce Young just signed yet another deal, this time a major media deal to host Colin Cowherd's podcast on Tuesdays.

Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and even A&M are so far ahead of LSU in this regard.

The job O has done the last few years has literally zero to do with NIL

We have a non skill position player with NIL money coming out of his ears. LSU is a brand name nationally and the only game in town in our state. That money will always be there.

You’re going to see a rush of people tossing money around early, but once a few of those players end up as busts a lot of them will feel like they got burned and that it’s not worth the ROI. Rich people don’t get rich by flushing money down the toilet, I don’t care how big a fan they are.

In short: LSU will be fine.

Sadly, everyone is talking about us and trolling us in some way. We are the laughing stock of CFB right now.

It's early in the NIL game but having a bozo as the face of the program probably impacts players ability to garner the best NIL deals possible.

I brought up the NIL issue a few weeks ago but crickets. If nobody thinks this isn't a recruiting tool they are sadly mistaken. NIL has made it even more important to have a good image for the program. I would contend the programs and players image are mutually inclusive for maximum NIL money for the player.

So no, I don't think LSU will be just fine on the NIL front with Orgeron as our leader.

Do you know what NIL is???

Because nothing you posted has anything to do with NIL.

Well sure but it’s nothing that isn’t easily fixable with a competent head coach

Not sure about all of the NIL going around, but the only commercial during the game that I saw featuring an LSU player was Brian Thomas Jr. in a Neighbors Credit Union commercial.

I would have expected to see Stingley in a Walk-Ons commercial ad or Boutte in some commercial.

More winning=more interest in using player's NIL. We have bigger problems to worry about right now TBH.

I get competition but there’s a clear lack of respect for your opponent that he constantly feels the need to share.

Nick Saban’s response was the most gangster mafia shite ever.

Maybe so but we'd be foolish to discount NIL. It's already big but is likely to become a game changer. Ive heard a few teams are quietly starting NIL departments within the AD. We need to get in front of this because recruiting will be tied to NIL money in the near future. The ultimate "buying players" is upon us.
