This is the thing that amazes me the most about this team. We've got the best offense right now that we've seen since 2007 and there's nowhere to go but up.

We've got a young defense that just needs depth and the recruiting class is shaping up perfectly to fill those holes.

LSU is poised to finally break the 4 year cycle and go on a run that few programs get to experience. Hold on, this ride is going to be fun

Um 2012's offense ring a bell.

I do agree that this team could be amazing next season.

I am going to enjoy watching this season as they are still getting better and have a chance to make a run now

It surely is an exciting time to be a tiger fan. I know those young DT prospects are chomping at the bit to get some PT next year and on offense we should be even better next year than this year.

yes I do

if the offense continues playing like it has the last two games, I stand by my statement. Hell it could be Miles' best offense ever by the end of the year

It all depends on what happens with early declarations for the draft. If Tre White and Kendell Beckwith turn their attentions to the pro leagues, we could see quite a few 45-38 type games. We will also have a huge hole in the middle of our defense that we would be attempting to fill with freshmen.

I have faith in Cameron and believe that we'll have one of the most efficient offenses in CFB for the next several years, but our secondary has been loose this year and we have ZERO depth in the front seven. Steele and Orgeron have their work cut out.

Your right. I was a year off. But the premise still stands. The O with Mett, Backman and Landry was the best of the Miles Era to date.

Everyone thought 2012 would be better than 2011 but it didn't pan out that way. No way to tell who leaves early or injuries etc

idk, we will lose some talent on the oline, could lose white and beckwith on d. Losing Jones and mills for sure.

It may be this season or bust honestly.

Next year we will have a couple positions that need to be filled.

All LB spot - I don't see Beckwith staying around for another year. Debo is gone. And I'd like to replace Lamar Louis.

DBs - There is so much depth there but getting them to all lined up and working in sync will be the issue.

O-Line - Vadal and Hawkins will be gone. Pocic will slide out to one of the tackle spots. I think Weathersby or Valentine-Okeke will play RT. Just need them getting the calls right, because they have the talent.

If we can get good LB play next year, I see us making the playoffs. The LBs will be real young, but hopefully have a fire under their arse to make some plays.

LB is the biggest and almost the only issue. I don't think losing Tre White will be that huge a hole. Not because he isn't good, but because the talent will be there. Toliver will be better next year than White is currently. I look at it as replacing what Toliver is now...Savion Smith?

I have heard "LSU will be better next year" for about 50 years now. Maybe they will, maybe not - let's enjoy the day today and worry about tomorrow after the new year.

There is no doubt this team should be better next year. We have been starting 1 senior on offense (Alexander) and on defense (Debo), that's it. Gordon and Mills have been injured most of this season.

We'll lose some juniors to the draft, but probably not as much as originally thought:

White for sure
Likely Hawkins, Dural, Beckwith
Maybe Pocic, Neal
