LSU is capable of a Bama like defense

LSU is the only other team in the SEC that can do it. The d line is half way there and secondary has already taken it's lumps. Keep O, find an elite DC and recruit strong again adding depth to existing top talent.

I'm glad Chavis is gone and never understood the Steele hire but the right coach will have the LSU defense humming again.

Not a pumper at all btw. Pure realist.

Yeah, and Chavis wasn't the right fit for it. 2011 is the exception.

Difference is that their huge front 7 is built to stop teams like LSU that loves to run out of the I (which Miles never learns after all the defeats). Our front 7 is built to stop spread teams.

Yes, that's where the plot is lost.

ALA front 7 starts : 5 SR's and 2 JR's .... the 2nd team players are just as dominant b/c they are fresh bodies when substituted in

LSU front 7 started : 1 True FR, 2 SO's , 2 JR's , and 2 SR's ..... we lack the Bama depth and experience which showed up late in ball games

Bama's current roster has18 five-stars. and 46 four-stars .... LSU has 5 five-stars

Well, we had Bama's DC in 2015 and looked nothing like them.

For the past 8 years, Bama has out-recruited and coached up their d-lines ... like light years ahead of every other college team.

Like everyone else, we are way, way far behind them in recruiting and coaching up defensive linemen. Unless or until we close the recruiting/coaching gap, we'll always be chasing them.

Let's be honest our offense did enough to win games in 2012 and 2014. The offense had leads in the final minutes of each game.

You have no clue what youre talking about.

LSU is ranked 11th in offensive yards per play. Bama is all the way down at 46.

You dumbasses just make it too easy.

You mean their LB coach?

They are capable of it. Just need to start going all out on the front 7. DBs will come. That's one thing that is apparent. They lose out on the DL and LBs.

Exactly. It's laughable when you hear posters on here saying lsu has as much talent as bama.

The last 3 years....

I really miss the '06 defense that essentially knocked every starting QB out of the game.

You people really need to stop trying to compare LSU to Bama. We're not comparable to the them anymore. LSU is more like Ole Miss and Arkansas and even they still whip our arse
