There is no way in hell ND beats Oklahoma and USC IMO. Oregon or KSU one will screw up, but my bet is both.

We have a helluva defense.

FIFY.

We watched this game play out last November. Barely any offense and our defense kept us in the game.

We watched this game play out last January. No offense at all, hard-headed coach, and our defense ultimately brokedown as we lost 21-0.

No, we have an incredible defense that has overcome a lot of lost personnel. But they also make dumb mistakes in critical situations that keep drives alive.

Our QB, in addition to being unable to pass the ball effectively, is also a statue. That does not bode well for two weeks from now.

I don't feel like thisis one of Curley or DiNardo's last two teams playing Alabama. I feel like this is a replay of the 60s and 70s when Cholly Mac's greatest teams would beat everyone...except Alabama.

Our defensive coordinator is saving Les Miles' tail on almost a weekly basis, and that concept seems to be lost on a lot of Tiger fans.

Yeah, we have a chance, but only if the defense never gets burned and the offense actually does something. We scored 24 points against a team that gave up 57 the week before to LA Tech. 2 for forever on third down was ridiculous and, despite having FIVE turnovers, we won by five fricking points. We are not going to get five turnovers against Alabama.

1. If there's such a thing as destiny, by definition, it can't be controlled.

2. LSU can somewhat control how many more games it wins, but even by winning all games, it still has no control over a BCSNCG birth, as there still may be undefeated teams that get both spots.

3. Fans aren't as sure about a win over Bama because of what they see on the field...which is an LSU team not playing to its potential. Had we been playing to that potential all season, it might be different. So those who think we will win are assuming that we put it all together for the first time in that game. If we don't, we don't have much of a chance. If we do, then we can win.

I'm not so sure about this.....no way an SEC team with one loss jumps undefeated ND and undefeated Oregon.

Although I think ND loses this week.....I'm a bit more concerned about KSU and Oregon.

Texas Tech is like a slightly lesser version of Florida right now. Good defense, offense coming around, and most importantly... a young team that is gaining tons of confidence with each passing week.

Will they beat K State? I dunno, because Bill Snyder is a freaking miracle worker.

But, I do know that Tubbs has built a long reputation of winning games like this against top 5 competition.

LSU definitely still controls their own destiny for all the marbles. The path there still involves beating the #1 and #2 teams in the computers/country. If LSU beats Bama in 2 weeks, LSU will jump Oregon and ND in the computers. The voters can whine all they want about how Oregon is prettier than us! And then come the SEC championship game where if we beat Bama, UF will be number 1. If the Tigers get revenge in Atlanta and beat another #1, LSU can easily squeak right into that #2 spot in the BCS with K St sliding up to #1. So all in one season we get to take down 3 #1s. Sounds like a good plan to me!

Neither of which play a conference championship...which will hinder them getting in over a 1-loss SEC champ..

Especially if that one loss team beats the #1 ranked team twice on its way to a conference championship.

While we may not truly control our own destiny, if we can beat bama, then run the table, then avenge our only loss in the SEC game against UF, it will be one hell of a good argument. Teams with less of an argument have made it before (see bama 2011)

What can LSU do to make sure Notre Dame, Kansas State and Oregon (or two of them, anyway) lose? Or do you think LSU at 12-1 would go in ahead of any of them if they are undefeated?

Kansas State has zero chance? How do you figure that? They've already played their toughest games.

How? If Florida and Alabama go into the SECCG undefeated, both having beaten us, how do we get a BCS bid over the loser of that game?
