Would we have beaten Florida, all we needed was 1 team ahead of us to lose...

Oklahoma loses to W. Virginia
Michigan loses to Ohio St.

That still leaves a 1 loss West Virginia and a 1 loss Ohio State.

Probably need both to lose in their respective conference title games which would leave the Big 12 and Big Ten with no 1 loss teams. I don't see LSU getting in over a 1 loss conference champion from a Power 5 conference.

Washington State has lost badly in the Apple Cup the last 4 years but this year it's in Pullman and the Pirate is rolling. But I'd be very surprised if the Cougs manage to run the table and get into the CFP.

I don't think UGA has to lose badly to Bama. They just need to lose. They lost badly to LSU. Perhaps the committee will see it as unfair to punish UGA for playing an extra game so I can kinda see your thinking there but LSU dominated them. I think they will be more interested to see how LSU finishes.

And let's be honest, it is far from a sure thing that LSU is going to beat A&M let alone beat them in a convincing fashion that leaves the committee with something to think about.

If LSU makes the CFP, I'm rooting for LSU, UGA and Bama to all make the CFP along with Clemson. Total chaos and the other 3 Power 5 conferences will lose their minds. That will be the surest way to get the CFP expanded to 6 or 8 teams and would give LSU the best chance to make the CFP in future years.

That would lead to some super low ratings if 3 SEC teams made it

Drd makes the most sense. Notre Dame has to lose TWICE. Ohio St could lose at Maryland and beat Mich - if that doesn't happen Northwestern would have to beat the winner of Mich - Ohio St. We need only one of the two scenarios to happen above. The rest will easily fall into place - West Va is losing to Okla St OR OU (in the second game they would play) OU is losing AT W Va. Wash St is not jumping LSU in any scenario and will probably lose to Wash anyway
