re: LSU has to be in the discussion for this 12 team playoff every single year

You can absolutely have off years with this new NIL and transfers. However, at LSU you should be in the playoffs more often than not and you should be on the cusp when you don’t make it. If only 3 sec teams make it you have got to be one of those 3.

And 9 or 10 SEC schools have those same expectations.

I'm definitely not a Les Miles fan; however, I will say this about him:
His teams were tough. They played grown man football.
And his "close" losses were more maddening than some of the blowouts we've had under Kelly.
Les at the end of his tenure was not the same Les.

9 or 10 want to have those expectations. But it’s not their actual expectation.
Those are the teams that will have that one off year of being good. But not routine.
There is nothing in recent history to suggest Ole Miss, A&M, Auburn, Tennessee or Florida should expect to routinely be in it. Tennessee may be building something but we will have to see.
Bama, Texas and UGA should expect to be in most years. There is nothing reason our expectation shouldn’t be the same.

You may not want to believe it or think it's comical, but it is their actual expectation.
The following SEC schools expect to be in a 12 team playoff every year:
1. Texas
2. UGA
3. Bama
4. LSU
5. A&M
6. Oklahoma
7. Florida
8. Tennessee
9. Auburn

Other than 2019, there is nothing in recent history to suggest LSU should expect to routinely be in it.

Yeah, but you'll never hear them admit that BKs best results happened in year 1 with Ed O's 39 scholarship players
Shouldn’t this prove that BK is a good coach? I mean yall keep moving the goal posts constantly. Of, with a depleted roster still won 10 games and made the SECCG, doesn’t that show he knows a thing or two and can get the most out of his players? At the end of the day, the Coach isn’t the one on the field. BK has never missed a block, never dropped a pass, never missed a tackle, thrown an interception, fumbled, jumped offsides, pass interference, missed a FG. Players still have to execute, and have to have the talent level to execute.
If it was ALWAYS Coaching and ONLY Coaching then Nick Saban was a HC for 30+ years. How come he doesn’t have 30+ rings? He has 7….so in the other 25 years did he suck at coaching those years all of a sudden or did his players not execute, or have the talent to execute?

They're wearing the f out of the NIL excuse right now. Yet somehow, other coaches are winning in this NIL era. Day, Freeman, Sark, Franklin
