After 7 weeks of football...

202.1 avg yards/gm through the air
202.1 avg yards/gm on the ground

Neither is setting the world on fire, but it puts ALOT of pressure on the opposing teams during preparation, and during the game.

Would rather this offense than a Big 12 pass every down offense. Gotta be able to run it in the SEC

We passed for more yards per game last year and ran for more yards per game last year.

Being happy with this offense is fine, but it's hypocritical to act like it's better than even last year's offense.

And all of this with a better QB than we had last year.

Yards doesn’t equal balance. You’ll gain more yards per completion throwing it. A balanced offense is play call percentage.

That's why I started the comment by saying "After 7 weeks of football"

And they thought it was bs when coach O kept saying 50/50 when they asked him about the offense.

Agreed.

We're about 65/35 run/pass this year. We were 67/33 last year. It's marginal at best.

I understand, I'm just pointing out that last year's offense did the same thing. They forced teams to honor the run and the pass.

Les Miles offense would be:

250 yards rushing per game
70 yards passing per game (with 3 five star wide receivers and a 5 star quarterback.)

does anyone really think last years passing offense is better than this years? I was wrong so fricking what I know that this year I feel much more confident that we can move the ball through the air when we need to than last year.

The stats sure seem to think so.

2011 offense had stupid numbers. 2013 offense had stupid numbers.

Let's not throw stones in a glass house. Enjoy the win.
