Potential is what we have and nothing more at this point.

There's no real experienced backups on the line, and the only force at linebacker is White so far. LSU is relying on transfers and JUCOs to sure up the DL. Chaisson has showed flashes, but that's it.

We have one guy returning for top 5 in TFL, that is White.

We have one guy returning for top 5 in sacks, that is White.

Of our top 10 tacklers from last year, only 4 return. Three of them are DBs, and the other is White.

Our entire front 7 sans White is pure potential. Clemson and Auburn crush our DL.

Over the year this could become an amazing defense, but best front 7 is typical LSU fan homerism.

I saw them up close earlier in the Spring, the line by itself is going to gobble up everyone in the backfield. They are really going to be tough to block, for ANYONE!

This is a fair assessment. Several proven commodities with tremendous potential. But we'll see.

I can't... because I agree.

It is unproven as of now and is a prognostication... I think by game 4 or 5, it will be proven.

as long as Coach O doesn't lie to us about the offensive line like Miles lied to us about the offensive line I will stomach a 8 win season this year.

While not the best in the country they are definitely in the top 5 which bodes well if the offense can be anything other than pedestrian.

Bama will only be better next year...

How do those purple shaded glasses fit?

With objectivity, the correct answer is Clemson.

Read his post history and you'll understand. Semjackass (BRAVEHEART) is against an OL that is not made of "up north" players. "Up north" for him is code for white. So to him LSU's current OL could never be considered a strength.

we could potentially have the 3rd best front 7 in all of college football if everything goes according to plan.

We unfortunately can't come close to Clemson front 7 this coming year in talent. An we will still trail Bama in that regard as well. But after that we look pretty good.

That’s not hoping or being positive. That’s stating absolutes. I hope they are as good as some of you are stating, but we won’t know until they buckle the chinstraps.
