Situational hitting is horrible and has been for years.

It’s not about just hitting the ball at this level. It’s about situational hitting. Something LSU hasn’t done in a very long time.

Lineup not well thought out. Too much gut involved.

Hitting itself can be misleading at times. Curious what our hitting number/percentage with RISP? I bet that’s the difference.

Too early to call us 1-8 with Vanderbilt’s pitching staff coming to town?

Other than Marceaux, there’s not one reliable arm on the staff

Doesn’t matter how many hits you have, but when you get them.

That’s what happens when you give up 10 walks a game

I mean, Labas is pretty darn solid today. Allowing 2 runs in 7 in innings isn’t anything to write off with.

Shitty pen.
Lack of TIMELY hitting (a flaw in most Mainieri teams).

Bullpen is actually quite bad, fielding is bad. No timely hitting, bad baserunning, upper classmen swinging for the fences, players regressing with time in the program, naming a freshman your ACE before the season and he's just OK.

We fricking suck.

You’re right, I forgot about Labas. He has been pretty good all season save one start

How many walks they have vs LSU and how many Ks LSU hitters have. Your topic falls short without the total story
