What would Ohio Sates record be in the SEC West? They are almost guaranteed 9 wins. Then you have to worry about Penn state, Michigan, and pick between Michigan state, Indiana, Nebraska or Wisconsin any given year.

or 6

Since the advent of a 12 game regular season (2001) here are our 8 10-win regular seasons. 1 by Saban, 6 by Miles, 1 by Orgeron, 0 by Kelly.

2003 - Saban - 11-1
2005 - Miles - 10-2
2006 - Miles - 10-2
2007 - Miles - 10-2
2010 - Miles - 10-2
2011 - Miles - 12-0
2012 - Miles - 10-2
2019 - Orgeron - 12-0

I do not count meaningless bowl games and you shouldn’t either

Then you’re an idiot, and don’t know what the frick you’re talking about. Up until two or three years ago bowl games were absolutely not “meaningless“. We usually had to match up against a Big Ten, ACC, or other Big named school that had nine or 10 wins of their own in their conference. There was no 12 team playoffs then and you still had to play a very good team in a bowl game. You have a very shortsighted view of college football.

This brings up the question of who creates the LSU football schedule? Is it the AD and his department?

I see other top teams in the SEC that have easier schedules for the most part, year in and year out.

A week zero game to get "tuned up" like many others do would have been great.
