Miami is perceived to be the better football program. How long has it been since that was the perception of the college football world?.
Hopefully, all that changes with the results of this coming game.

Recruits care (they also care about the scoreboard too). These 18-year-olds have "funny" and/or "strange" ways of deciding where to go to school. Prestige usually has a lot to do with their decisions.

I have always seen them as meaningless and destructive. There should be no poll until October. Teams get left out of big bowl consideration because the talking heads didn't think they would be good and had them ranked low. They then have to fight up the polls against teams who are there simply because those same talking heads thought they would be good.

There is no way we are not as good as WVU, UCF, Oregon, Florida etc. Weneed to win it on the field. After we win our first 3 we will be about 10.
