Keep Aranda and O for the new guy and see if he is ok with it.

Sure, maybe bounce the idea off him and see what he thinks. But they'll clean house if they need to in order to get the right guy. You don't want to get stuck with your 4th or 5th choice at head coach bc you wanted to keep a couple of assistants.

No, I bash him and his followers because he give no specifics and posts things that many others here post, yet somehow is treated like he knows something special. Nothing he has posted has been a secret.

You didn't follow very well then. That's okay though. Believe as you wish. It's not worth getting upset over your bitterness towards another person.

Oh im not saying that at all. If your number 1 choice says to get rid of everyone, well goodbye assistants and good luck.

Only reason I mention Aranda is because of the Herman name/relationship. I say coach O as some random position because of his recruiting abilities. Lets say whoever it is says yes, I just dont see some huge problem with keeping a guy like O on your staff to get you top rated guys.

But they will undoubtedly be making contact through back channels during the regular season with potential candidates.

That's the ultimate win win. The new guy comes in with a new system but likes and wants to keep the parts that aren't broken.

Why the frick is everyone thinking anything different than what Dale stated earlier. Herman, Petrino, Shaw are all head coaches at schools that have legitimate shots at making the playoff. They make the playoff or win it all and their salary ' s increase tremendously. We have great assistant coaches at LSU that are under contract. They may stay they may go at the end of this season. Let's see what we do with what we have now and as the season starts winding down start going after coaches as the chips fall.

Any new hire would be dumb not to consider aranda and coach O. They are 2 of the best in the business.

Unless of course they have loyalties to others

Hey buddy, I'd hate to argue with you, since you seem on edge, but is the purpose of this board to have "folks" agree with whatever someone else says? Maybe it does, and I've missed that since 2004.

I don't know who DALSU is, or what he knows, and I'd assume you don't either..... SO WHY DO YOU SEEM LIKE A LITTLE GIRL, upset because someone made fun of her favorite pop star?

I mean yeah man, but it's like your dead set on trying to prove him wrong and you'll keep on going and going and going and going until you think you've done that. What's the point... like an earlier poster said, people who were in the know have came to this board after it was all done and said that what DALSU was saying was correct. 100% correct. I'm sorry he is close to the situation and you're not. I'm sorry he's right and you, well, just kinda think you are and it's fricking obnoxious dude... you that mad that someone is close to important things like that and you're not? What's the real issue here? DALSU do something to you personally for you to be replying to every fricking post about this thread....

I didn't try to prove him wrong.

There is nothing to prove wrong. I'm questioning LSU more than his info.

I also mentioned that if he was truly one of a group of insiders who ran their mouths last year, he had a small part in fricking up the firing of Les last year.

I don't know if he is right or wrong, as a matter of fact, there was not much news in what he said.

I hate people who are anonymously "in the know", who were vindicated by other anonymous people "in the know".

I shouldn't have phrased it like that. You probably don't know what "vindicated" means.

Did I make you question DA for a minute?
Is that what hurts?

LSU has a bright future!
The administration expects results regardless who's coaching this team. There's a sense of urgency to get this right!
With the changes to the staff this will get rid of the dark cloud hanging over the program.

LSU had to do something sooner than later to keep up and stabilize revenue projections and goals for the program.

This is opportunity for the new/current staff to show what they can do. Please support this team. We have a ton of talent on this roster.

Totally agree with you DALSU!

Will always support the team. What exactly do you mean everyone gets a clean slate? Coaches and/or players? Be a little more specific please.

I believe Ensminger (sp?) was one of the coaches who completely disagreed with the playcalling..

So even if it's hard to change a whole lot.. he may call more plays they practice and not leave them at practice.

Probably both. Meaning players like Brandon Harris would have a shot at showing what he can do without being handcuffed by the stagnant Miles offense and coaches that were not fired can do the same.
Honestly, who knows how deep Les had his hands in all the aspects of the game. He could have been holding back far more tha just the offense.
