Does Kentucky have to do it. Calipari has been paying players for years and probably never stopped paying people to take ACTs for them a la Derrick Rose when he was at Memphis. Does Bill Self need to be let go? Does Bruce Pearl? They've done shite that is just as if not worse.

Personally would have fired Wade a few years ago when this first came up and he told Alleva he was not going to talk to him. As a boss I would have called that gross insubordination. If he would have come to me and said here is what I did I would have kept him only because I know how crooked college basketball has been since I was at LSU in the 80s

To their credit, they weren’t paying players from their personal bank accounts. Self is essentially accused of the same stuff as Wade when the wire tap came out. LSU has defended Wade for years on that stuff.

Also crediting Scott for firing O is bad considering he had a chance to fire with cause in the spring and then again after ucla for his off the field actions.

Woodward should’ve fired O for the sissy blue shirts comment? That’s dumb. Either way, O is gone. Who cares.

Pear was dirty and still couldn't beat the top 3 or 4 teams in the SEC. His SEC record was horrible. LSU loses on both counts and he's probably destroyed the program for the next 4 or 5 years.

Great excuse for SW to get his own long-term hire in place without paying for the transition.

I don’t like the firing. I’m now way less enthused with Woodward as AD. I hate the timing and the acquiescing to the NCAA. I hate the hypocrisy and double standard where there doesn’t seem to be consistency with NCAA’s dedication to clean up the college basketball landscape they created. With NIL, this move is even more asinine, which makes me dislike LSU’s move more. I wish the athletic department had the back of Wade and the team as much as the fans. I detested Alleva for how he handled things 3 years ago. I’m now lukewarm on Woodward and what I’d consider a similar spineless move. I’ll always support the basketball program, but Woodward has a tall order to bring in a ringer coach that I’ll enjoy watching as much as I did the General.

You’ve trashed Wade all season. Of course you’re going to take this position. Call me in about 3 years and see if Woody has replaced Wade with someone equal or better or if we just sacrificed the future of the basketball program to make sure football got off easy.

Hope I’m wrong, but the writing is on the wall.

What? He was doing things that you better hope our next coach can do on at least the same level that he did....it is all legal now.

Neither of them were straight up paying people from their checking accounts. Wade was so damn dumb

If we’re going to hit with a 2 year post season ban, would rather have Wade be the one leading us out of that than whoever we are able to attract.

Really does set the president that the NCAA can effectively fire coaches at will. I suppose someone could choose to support that or not.

He's a fraud. Even with top ten talent, which is simply purchased.

Yep. He’s a fraud that brought us to 4 straight NCAAT’s, wish we could find another “fraud” to replace him.

What a complete dumbass statement.

Maybe he should have added his players as authorized users on his checking account.

Spending 300k on recruits and can't advance past two rounds.

Hes a fraud. LSU will do better with someone who isn't fake.
