Philly fans are truly fanatics (assholes really)about their teams. The man’s college squad has a HUGE win. Those fans need to get over themselves! Simmons shouldn’t have deleted but instead just tweeted a funny “Bruh” meme.

No. He didn't.

Why are you lying?

He hated college, but if he had to call one home, he still chose LSU. He hated us less than everywhere else.

What would you have said if, after a lackluster loss at LSU, he tweeted joyously about his old Australian team? I'll tell you this: this board would have melted down.

That's not comparable at all. Melting over a regular season loss in the NBA is beyond stupid.

it had zero to do with LSU - Ben just followed his godfather, who was on staff here.

to the downvoters, do you even understand what occurred. Ben Simmons had zero love or affection for LSU. He came here ONLY because his godfather was on the coaching staff. If David Patrick was at Florida, Ben would've been a Gator. If David Patrick was at Texas, Ben would've been a Longhorn.

It's just impossible to deny this fact.

I know that, but when was the last time Ben tweeted about UC Riverside basketball? (His godfather is the head coach there)

Who fricking cares? Players go to different schools for different reasons. Tremont Waters had never set foot in the state of Louisiana until he signed with LSU. He was going to Georgetown until Thompson was fired and Wade, who had recruited him, contacted him about coming to LSU.

How much love and affection do you think players have before they go to college? 99% of these kids didn’t grow up fans. They all went where they went for one reason or another. I don’t know why you think it’s relevant that Simmons chose LSU for the reason he did. People are down voting you because it’s not a good point, not because what you said was inaccurate

You think Kentucky players go there because of their love and affection for Kentucky? Or do you think there’s another reason?

No one is denying it, but it doesn't change the fact that Ben Simmons obviously feels a connection to LSU more than any other college. That was my point.

Absolutely true. That is the only reason why he came here. However, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t pull for us over all other schools.
