Headline - NOLA.com: LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson, other Tigers implicated in early-morning fracas
Baton Rouge - LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson was implicated in an early-morning fight outside a local bar Friday, Baton Rouge Police have confirmed.

Jordan Jefferson at SEC Media Days.
Media relations officer Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said police are investigating whether Jefferson was a suspect or a victim in the incident, which occurred at approximately 2 a.m. at Shady's, a bar on E. Boyd Ave. south of LSU's campus.
Witnesses told police about "15-20 LSU football players" were present when the incident occurred. The players were gone when police arrived and began interviewing witnesses, who identfied Jefferson as one of the players.
McKneely said four people involved in the fight sustained minor injuries and transported themselves to local hospitals, but Jefferson was not among them. He said police were still investigating.
LSU Coach Les Miles held a meeting with his players Friday and issued the following statement through the sports information office.:
"We are aware of the incident that took place at an off-campus location at which some of our players were present. We don't know to what extent our players were involved. We are trying to gather as much information as possible to get a better understanding of what exactly took place last night."
Miles reportedly held a team meeting to discuss the matter with players.
LSU conducted its second scrimmage of fall practice Thursday and players had no practices Friday. They are scheduled to return to the practice field Saturday.
Jefferson is a senior and two-year starter at quarterback for LSU, which is expected to challenge for the BCS title this season.

says that according to Stone there wasn't a vehicle involved and the injuries were minor scratches and bruises
Wrong.
Stone said vehicular assault did not occur.
As in no one assaulted anyone with a vehicle.
Doesn't mean a vehicle was not involved.
To my knowledge, Stone hasn't been asked if a vehicle was involved.

I'm correct. JJ is the starter, because he is better than the alternatives at this time. I think Mett will be groomed into a solid starter, and far better than JJ. But I don't think I want to start a brand new guy against a top-5 opponent.
IMO, you are correct.

Only Jarvis Landry was involved in the fight. He is the only player who is facing penalties.

So if a school teacher goes out one night and gets drunk, picks a fight and gets beat down.. People will be like "OMG that guy beat up a school teacher"
I just think its funny how so many people put little thought into what you say.. before you say it.

dude marines are trained killers i watched a marine beat up 10 people in a bar so this leaves me to belive the guy in the white truck and the marine was drunk and thier story is not credable imo

by the sounds of it, he was def not seal team 6 material
So the guy gets assaulted by a group of football players and that makes him ripe for ridicule? I don't think a SEAL would even be able to handle that on his own.

That opinion is far too sane for the Rant.
GTFO.

Look, even if this happened, we all know Les will probably just give out the same tough and harsh punishment he gave Terrance Toliver. A little running and shite...
Hell T-Bob got a DWI last year.. this year he went to media day.. Miles will basically give you one "free pass" for sure.

Statement was 15-20 football players present, not 15-20 involved. Huge difference in those two statements.
