LSU football is 11-1 with a chance at 12-0 if Keon Coleman came to LSU over FSU.

We lost to Florida state due to Keon mossing us over and over again, and some critical Lacy drops.

We lost to Ole Miss as well do to some critical Lacy drops.

Don't get me wrong. I really do like Lacy, and if he gets more consistent hands is a day 1 or 2 pick. But I think the combination of having a 3rd first round WR with great hand and a massive frame, while also FSU not having him lets us end up 11 wins, and a better chance against Alabama.

This team would still have one of the worst defenses in school history, but I think that 1 player would have swung us 2 more wins.

I would argue LSU made life difficult for itself offensively against FSU and still moved the ball between the 20s

It wasn’t until Grambling then even more so against State that we saw Nabers more in the slot, which completely opened up the offense

Nabers had his worse game against FSU playing pretty much the X. The slip to start the 4th.

Then, what was it, 3 consecutive failed fade routes into the boundary for Nabers to close the first half.

Just looked up stats from 1997-1999

Our stats/defensive rankings this year are actually worse

We lost the three games we did because our defense opted out of the season.

Hard to compare using certain stats like yards since offenses are much more prolific now.

It was certainly a terrible defense in 1998 that ruined a great offense. The inability to create critical stops is a common denominator.

Lol no offense player coming to LSU would have changed the outcome of this season with the defense playing like it did.

Bad coverage and missed tackles are not the same as being Mossed. Plus the guy has said repeatedly that he was not going to play for any school in Louisiana.

Nonsense.

We have a bad defense, but it's not the worst it has ever been. The 2020 defense really, really sucked. Your memory is too short.

Wouldn’t trade this offense for the world right now but we got shut out in the second half (less garbage time 11 second left TD). We weren’t beating FSU scoring 17 even with a good defense.

For as many "wow" plays that Coleman made this year, I was surprised to see that his stats are not better.

On the season he has 46 catches for 639 yards and 11 TDs.

Against LSU, he had 9 catches for 122 yards and 3 TDs.

He had about 20% of his yearly production against our defense.

Even if they had gone 11-1 this team would not be making any noise in the post season. It would just be fools gold.
