Lsu was the number one recruiting class, we were #2 in the playoff polls, Kirk and corso had us in the title game, fournette was picked to win heisman.

Then comes the bama game and 2 losses after that......

Now we are losing recruits (3),ranked #5 in recruiting, ranked in the 20's, media has bashed our program and how we handled the Miles situation, fournette doesn't get invited to heisman, and we don't look like an elite program anymore.
Truth is, alleva/king should have known better than to keep miles. We need a new spark. Keeping miles wasn't going to keep the top class. How we handled it,his job security, was going to make recruits leave. We needed a new coach like fisher to bring in his recruits and keep most of ours.
Its 1/9 all over again. We used to be a top 10 program and all recruits wanted our hat on their table.

Alleva had zero control over keeping Miles.

Only because of how it was handled. The moment it blew up you had two choices fire him or make a public statement of his job security regardless of what the truth was. Our brilliant AD chose to build up bad press and build up sympathy for Miles and create a situation where the recruits doubt the security of the program.

Those kids committed to play for Miles in the first place. The way the LSU administration has handled itself since 11/7 has been far more damaging than the three-game skid.

Guys there is still almost 2 months until national signing day. Les has many flaws but finishing strong in recruiting is not one of them. He will get 25+ very good players to come to Baton Rouge.

we still have alot of time left in recruiting no need to panic yet. We can still pull out a top class. I think we will.

No offense but LSU has a chance to win 9 games, have the number 1 recruiting class, and be preseason top ten and picked to win the west next year. Lsu is in good shape with divinity, Sullivan, Lawrence, Allen, and a few others that would almost lock up the top class.

Catsgonewild you want to make a wager on that statement. Because we are 1 at the moment with 12 spots left available and I can almost guarantee you that we are getting Lawrence, Allen, White, and divinity. All top 100 recruits

I could argue his recruiting has been flawed the past few years.

Yes, we have lost a lot of players early to the NFL but our recruiting at linebacker and at defensive front has been pretty bad recently.

Franks flip was in the works long before 11/7, that game had no impact on him. Chatman was kind of a mutual parting of the ways, again something that had been discussed long before 11/7. Divinity's decommit at this time is a head scratcher and he said he is down to LSU and A&M, so I really don't see how that can be blamed on 11/7 (didn't A&M get smoked by Bama as well AND lose to LSU? But then again, 1 game rarely has an impact on recruits.
