And it was still Miles better than the 2011 offense, which separates the two teams. Also, statistically the 2003 defense was slightly better and a case can be made that the 2011 SEC was watered down.

Like I said that was the best team in the country that year. Talent out the arse. However, Great talent cant always bailout piss poor coaching. Not when you playing a rematch game of a team that good.

. Perhaps it may be understandable why he would stick with the same formula that worked during the most impressive regular season on college football history. Just perhaps.

No question he assumed his defense or special teams ( Mathieu) would make a play down two scores to get him back in the game. It just didn’t happen like it did against Georgia and Arky. He can’t be faulted for that. But not substituting for Jefferson he can be.

2011 team could possibly be best college football team of all times. Your thoughts!

From a domination of opponent standpoint, you could definitely make that argument especially when we consider the tough SOS they played. I think however the best LSU team to step foot on a football field was the 2006 Tigers JaMarcus' last season, literally no weaknesses at all football positions, simply a joy to watch.

2003 was the best team...2011 was the deepest.

So the idiots that actually give the LSU HC a chance in his first few seasons are the ones that would overreact? LMFAO!!!

You people will never get it. Not one person I've talked to thinks Orgeron is some lord of HCs. They simply want to give the man a chance since he's the HC at LSU currently. We didn't hire him and he didn't hire himself. Why you morons are so obsessed with someone you hate personally so much is beyond me.

You're like women who create drama for your own satisfaction, bc your pathetic excuse for excitement is now gone. Here's the thing though if O does actually have a 2011 type of season, you idiots will be the same ones saying, I knew he could do it all along.

I may not have seen better management from Ed O overall than I did with Les Miles, but his football instincts on the field and with the type of player he wants is head and shoulders above what Les could have ever dreamed of doing. He's still learning but so far he's done an ok job with what he was delt. You can point to recruiting rankings and then I could point to actual depth that we had last year, having to play so many freshman bc our talent level sunk or that talent was allowed to slow play their career at LSU under the old regime. The right players wernt being recruited here consistently and that's just facts. Every analyst that covers LSU has written about it again and again. This isn't just my opinion. It's the opinion of many bc it's real.

Most people just want the visceral hatred to stop bc this is LSUs HC we're talking about. We don't need our own fans doing the job of our opponents for us. You morons can't understand this. If he is successful consistently at LSU while having to fight these negetive politics from our own fans, I would have to give him more credit for doing so. Building anything named after him is absurd. You're such little whinny baby.

Miles would have been crucified for this. Not sure why Saban got a pass for it.

Finally somebody saw what I saw.. With all the offensive talent we had in 2011 .. if Les would’ve opened that offense up and let Jordan Jefferson be what he came to LSU to be a dual threat qb.. bruh ?????????????????????

Yep. That's why the 2nd half KO return by Bama was big. Had we pinned them deep like vs UGA then we could have had multiple opportunities for return, FG.

Both DeAngelo Peterson and JJ in post game interviews claimed we didn't run the offense they had practiced and planned for.

The plan was to spread Bama out (think Utah) with 4 and 5 wide sets.

Ask any offensive player from that season and they’ll tell you Les had them practicing plays for weeks that they didn’t even run during the game. It was like the game plan changed the night before the game and the players didn’t know until after kickoff.

Check recruiting services. JJ was 4* pro style, morphed into DT by Crowton and Miles.
He wsn't that great at option FB, but better than the alternative (vs Bama).
