They're receiving a free Ivy League equivalent education. Much respect to them, but they are getting quite a bit in return.

I support farmers. Guess I should cheer for the Aggies and boo LSU when we play.

The proper way to honor them is, after winning the game by playing with your full effort, go stand behind their team while their band plays their alma mater, and then go sing ours.
It's called "singing second" and it is a tradition among the academies and has been picked up by teams playing one for a couple of decades.
Here is a photo of Boston College players doing just that at West Point earlier this month:
Coach Brian Kelly is familiar with this honor as he has coached against all of the academies while at Notre Dame (mostly against Navy.)
GO LSU! BEAT ARMY!

A standing ovation should be given to these fighting men “ real fight beyond football” nothing wrong with honoring these people.

Being annoyed with stupidity here gets exhausting but I understand that.

We're booing a football opponent, not the actual army.
I think the original OP was much milder than the many that followed. I don't think it's too much to ask for this one opponent, but I also understand this is competitive football so I get both points. And I personally wonder if this stemmed from the morons in TS that booed the Auburn band at halftime. I found that quite distasteful and unnecessary.

Those players will be officers when they graduate. Not only will they have a leg up on the “competition”, they’ll never see combat.

Some of these may not have had much of an option. Maybe West Point was the best for them. In the end, you have no idea where they will end up and where they'll serve.

Some of you are so fragile, that when someone says they hope LSU fans won't boo the army players you take it as some sort of threat.
I will not boo Army or any service academy. However your attention span or reading comprehension are a bit off. As I have not, nor will I ever Boo LSU, as the OP called for.

I will admit that if a service academy comes to play in Tiger Stadium they should have the utmost respect from the fans. These guys are the ones that will be protecting our asses down the road while we still sit and watch our football games

Im a 30 year veteran and I call bullshite to this statement. LSU should steamroll their asses. These young volunteered to join like me. And we are competitive as hell. Look at the Army Navy game. So when Army plays LSU its ok to beat them. They not at war.

I'm betting you didn't serve in any branch of military...and if I'm wrong, I guess you're just plain stupid to make a suggestion as absurd as this.
These cadets are no different than the lowest ranking individuals in any branch...all are volunteers. So, yes we should look at them as unselfish patriots for defending our freedom but we don't worship them by assinine gestures like the one you are suggesting.

Yes. West pointers will hear how great they are their whole career while seldom working for it. F them
