Who cares?

The sec brand is already as strong as it gets.

Better than Bama winning another one

After all of the scheduling nightmares the SEC has given us, along with bending over backwards for aTm and Bama, I say F*** THE SEC as well. I am all LSU, not SEC. I can't believe I still know LSU fans that cheered for Bama last year, and they would have been cheering for them this year as well! Once in awhile I can deal with, but a 4th time in 5 years would have been WAY too much. Hell, a 3rd time last year was too much. It is great to see them lose. It won't matter much after the +1 next year anyway.

Isn't this wonderful? Finally, a thread where most of us agree and aren't fighting. lol

With a four team playoff a SEC champ with 1 or fewer losses will get a shot. That's all you can fairly hope for in a system involving as many power players as there are in college football.
If LSU or any other SEC Champ fails to get a shot in the near future the overwhelming likelihood is that they failed to qualify for the playoff because they lost games they needed to win. The SEC has been on an incredible run in the last 7 years but not every year will one of the best two or best four teams in the country be from our conference

While I like the SEC, they fricked us in 2011. Also the brand will not matter anymore after this year. It's a play off system from here on out, we can drop games we want too now.

What is OSU's record against the SEC in national championships? That should count for something.

I definitely don't want to see Bama get another gift rematch.
That prospect does negate the above consideration.

Don't freaking care about the SEC. We get screwed over by them as LSU is treated like the red-headed stepchild by the conference officials. Bama not playing in the NC is sweetness and they shouldn't have played in it two years ago. What Bama did to politic their way in and Les Miles helping by voting them #2 was a big finger to the conference and the conference championship that is the playoff format the SEC was the first to set up. Bama and the SEC showed no respect for LSU having gone 13-0 and beating the gumps on the road.
Screw them and I hope that the story by Yahoo about Bama having an agent pay players pans out and they go on probation and get hit harder than USC did.

Not an SEC butt brother at all, but I wouldn't mind seeing Missouri get in against FSU. As long as it's not an Alabama team I'm fine with it.

I will pull for SEC teams(except Bama)in other bowls...but not for a National Championship. I'm done with the SEC winning NC crap.

I really wish we'd ditch the SEC and go independent. We could be just like Notre Dame but be actually good at football.

4 team playoff next year. Doesn't matter.

No SEC "brotherhood" anymore. Every man for himself. Personally I cant wait to finally watch the damn thing come crashing to an end

That's exactly right. Ten/fifteen years ago was a different story. The sports world didn't buy it, yet we all knew (SEC team fans) what the story was. The point has been made so there's no more convincing to be done. Therefore, to pull for a team like Bama just because of conference affiliation only hurts LSU with recruiting.

The SEC has shite all over LSU the last 10 years. So how anybody uses this is in an argument is already baffling. And if Bama had made it in, I'd have pulled against them anyway.

When the SEC scheduling dept. stops giving Alabama cream puff SEC games year after year, and stops piling the tough ones on LSU, then come talk to me about a "SEC Brotherhood" and all that stuff.
