and like typical LSU fans,

I love the way typical ULL fans see a OP that says thanks for not being your normal A/H selves as some kind of post deserving an award.

It was a slap to the back of the head rather than the face and you have to be pretty dense not to figure that out, but that's a typical ULL fan for you.

See, we can be just as paint all with the same brush as you.

I don't understand any LSU fan pulling against another Louisiana school, unless it directly affects the Tigers. For example, as soon as ULL knocked the Lady Tigers out of the softball tourney, I immediately supported the Cajun Ladies!

You must not live in BR, and hear the intense hatred that comes from Laffy fans of ULL.

This thread was enjoyable. I never had an issue with USL fans that they themselves didn't instigate.

I have no issues rooting for USL and I hope they pull out the victory today.

USL does need to drop the "attention-starved little sister" act though. It's embarrassing. You never hear stuff like that fom ULM.

As a Cajun fan and alum, I have no problem with LSU fans for the most part. There are a few though that do tend to be loud and obnoxious, but every fan base has that. Usually when the Cajuns are on the road in football, I try to make some LSU games if they are playing at home. And yes, I do wear purple and gold to the games. You see, not all Cajun fans pull against LSU. Sure, some do. But there are also quite a few of them who really just don't care what LSU does. And that's where the root of the problem lies. There are diehard LSU fans who feel that since LSU is the flagship, that you have to pull for LSU. It's imperative. Well, the answer to that is....no I don't. Take me for example. If LSU loses in something, I don't get all that upset. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm happy. It just doesn't affect me like it would the diehard Tiger fan. On the contrary, most LSU fans claim to pull for in-state schools. But when these schools lose, do you really think they care that much? Most likely no. That's where I stand with LSU. And for some reason, some people just don't get that. And when you have to hear that from a larger fan base, especially the loud mouth fans who never even stepped foot on LSU's campus during a school day, it definitely gets aggravating.

Sure, some Cajun fans pull for LSU because of jealousy. It's normal for a smaller school to feel that way. Hell, I wish our school had a $120 million budget to play with in athletics. But we do as much as we can with the $17 million that we have. It's just the way that it is. But fans will be fans. It's what makes sports fun.

They can do as they please. I just wanted to reflect on how embarrassed I was for them, and how the majority of the Rant posters probably fit that mold.

If I were you, I wouldn't venture into the Cajun forums with that admission.

Personally, I don't expect fans/alums of other schools to wear P&G colors to LSU sporting events anymore than they should expect me to wear their colors to sporting events that I might attend at their home stadium.

I agree and don't have much problem with the anti-LSU stuff. Hell, if was a fan of another state school and had LSU this and LSU that shoved down my throat 24/7, I might not handle it well all the time either.

Good luck in your 1st game today.

I do it out of respect for the school.

Well said. I wish more people had your sense of logic.

I would say the same, but if we end up playing you in the second game.....well you get the drift.

Can we get a moment of reflection on why Cajuns fans are acting like little bitches over bat girls not picking up their bats?

I wish LSU did too. The profit the Athletic Department makes (being self sustaining) in addition to getting 120 million dollars from the state would be awesome!
